Comments about ‘Jeffs' attorneys want charges sent back to grand jury’

I hate to stereo-type, but if this guy was my neighbor, I would expect to find him in the sex offenders database with a little star over his address. He just has that "hi - I'm a sicko - can I play with your daughter" look about him.

He should give everyone the hibbie jibbies!!! This man and ALL the men leaders in FLDS, have destroyed young girls lives!!!! I cant wait for Texas to bring inditements for marrying two underage girls at YFZ ranch while he was on the run.

I thought a person's guilt was based on evidence and not on the fact that his looks scare me. Personally Micheal Jackson's looks should have gotten him a lethal injection!

He is creepy looking, but that's not what got him convicted. "marrying" off young girls into lives of slavery is what got him convicted, and rightly so.

"Uncle Warren" remains sacrosanct to the FLDS faithful, including thousands of children. Let's not forget the brouhaha over CPS not allowing children in custody keep Books of Mormon with Jeff's photograph on the frontispiece.

Poor argument. The reason why the polygamy and underage 'marriages' are occurring are 'religious.' It would not be possible to understand the crimes being alleged without understanding the FLDS beliefs. Jefffs does not just up and decide to 'marry' people because he personally feels in a matrimony mood.

Jeffs is well represented and when a defendant is well-represented, these motions are common. The lawyers try every angle they can to get their client off the hook. Half the charges have already been dropped and now they are pecking away at the other half. If I recall correctly, they are throwing three arguments at the judge and hoping that one sticks.

It appears that the FLDS break a lot of laws and are hardly ever prosecuted. When they are prosecuted, they obtain excellent attorneys and apply pressure to the victims in order to obtain a positive outcome.

One might think that being on the wrong side of the law would be very damaging to children as they are taught to hide their parents illegal behavior. Separating children from reality and the outside world may serve to protect the parents' illegal behavior.

How could Warren Jeffs be guilty of "accomplice to rape" when he never even saw the girl naked?

Seems quite a bit of a frame up job the bureaucrats/politicians have done on him.

I have been searching and reading and have yet to come across who was/is Warren Jeff's mother. I would also like to know what his childhood was like, which in turn would help understand why he is the way he is.

Can anyone advise this information? Sorry it's the psychology major in me. :)

I believe he obviously was a victim as well but I also believe that so were many many other people who hold the same beliefs...but even so...he's a very dangerous man because people are dying inside trying so hard to do what he proclaims comes from God so they don't go to hell.

Celia...if you read "Stolen Innocence" and realized that Jeffs FORCED a 14 yr old to marry her first cousin who was 19 and whom she despised no matter how much she begged him not to make her marry him...he still FORCED her to marry him.

AND his job was to make babies with her and her job was to blindly obey him...OR...she would go to hell.

Warren probably didn't see MOST of the UNDER - AGED AND UNWILLING women naked and ALMOST ALL OF THEM would never have the guts to try and save themselves or ever realize that Warren Jeffs is a pyscho.... I'm very curious as to whether or not you read the book Celia.

They have lots of proof that she BEGGED to get married, she was by no means forced!
Most might agree that 14 is too young to make that kind of a decision, but we all can tell, even by her actions at present, that she was the type that was going to do what she wanted anyway, no matter what anyone said. So she still would have married at 14, she wanted it that bad.
So believe what you want, the TRUTH will Prevail!

They did, and it didn't matter.

They had LOTS of evidence from her very own diary. Not to mention she told me myself numerous times how badly she wanted to get married. Like the person who posted above said "It didn't matter!" and that's the truth of it.

She had lied so much with the help of Carolyn and Flora, and the F.B.I. had spent so much money they weren't about to make fools of themselves. So the PROOF didn't even matter!

That's exactly why he deserves a new trial.

If you knew Elissa, then you must be FLDS. Given your upbringing of parental and "prophet" mind control telling you that you are to marry and have children and that's your ONLY path to heaven.... and given that you BELIEVE it (LOL) then we really cannot believe anything you say. I have not allowed myself to be filled with lies, and that is exactly why I told you I don't believe a word that comes out of Elissa's mouth.
