In Alaska there is a nice memorial for the more then 50 people that have died trying to climb Denali . Maybe if there were memorials at the entrances to Utah's wonderful canyons to the people who have died day hiking it might save a few lives. At least climbing Denali (McKinley) you know it's not going to be a picnic!
strange that I don't see one, but I think a reference to the death last week of a 19 year old woman AT THE SAME LOCATION may be a relevant point in this story. Just sayin'.
