Once again the aggies play a weak schedule will win 20+ games not make the tournament. Why have they yet to discover that if you play and beat teams from the power conferences you get respect. Look at UofU scheduling, at least take some chances.

That's quite an NAiA rich schedule. The Aggies will have to win the conference tourney to go anywhere because the RPI is going to be in the 300s. When USU gets overlooked for the big dance please refer to this pathetic schedule. They can win 20 games by just showing up.

For good or bad, Utah State whats home and home series, and it is very hard to get someone to come to Logan. As a matter of fact even BYU does not want to come to Logan. The next three game series with BYU is one game in Logan, Provo and Salt Lake. I would bet at least 2/3 of the crowd in Salt Lake will be for BYU.

Yes. Another dissappointing out of conference schedule. . .

That schedule looks like one that Snow College should be playing
Scheduling not their fault! | 1:12 p.m. July 3, 2008
I hate being blamed for things that aren't my fault. Always ticks me off when people do that. Same applies here. Stew regularly attempts to schedule teams from big conferences, however, they always avoid us. Even Stew's alma mater, Gonzaga, avoids playing us. Take a look at Duke. They think they are all big and powerful but they have a non-conference schedule that includes teams my junior high school could beat. ALL MAJOR COLLEGES DO IT! Get a clue before you start typin nonsesne folks! Once football season at USU is over we aggies are going to be beggin for any type of winning. DON'T HATE JUST APPRECIATE!
Appreciate??? | 3:45 p.m. July 3, 2008
Are you serios "Scheduling not their fault"? What is their to appreciate. A win over Chili's Bar & Grill Team, Alpine High School, and Houstin Babtist. What a pathetic schedule. USU will win 20+ games again but like all the other years it will mean nothing. By the way what is with the Duel in the Desert (Sponsored by Gosner Dairy), Don't rip off the Deseret Duel with that name. USU schedule = Pathetic.

And not to mention, we have a weak BYU, UTAH and Wyoming on the schedule from the weak MWC.

Since this basketball schedule is pathetic you can watch me play for the COUGARS! HA HA HA. Good Luck against the weak BYU and UTAH who will both beat you by 25. At least you can win the Gosner...ur...Duel in the Desert (Nice Original Name, strange that it sounds so familiar to a real contest held in this state between BYU and UTAH though, apparently being creative is not taught at USU)

It appears Logan University is already scheduling a "Big Sky" schedule in anticipation of leaving the WAC. It's inevitable.
Aggie in Colo. | 8:23 a.m. July 4, 2008
Aggies your comment about the Big Sky schedule is interesting since USU has more MWC teams on its schedule than Big Sky teams. Following your logic, the Aggies must be getting ready to leave the WAC for the MWC!! Of course, the Aggies should have been in the old WAC and the MWC years ago. However, BYU and Utah continuously blocked them. There is no way the Aggies are leaving the WAC now that they finally got in a respectable conference. The real question is why would BYU and Utah continune to support Wyoming in their league, and ignoring USU. It's beyond me. Laramie is a dump, the weather is terrible, and there's no future with the Univ. of Wyoming. Now Wyoming is a good candidate for the Big Sky!

When USU wins all of their preseason games, then I'll be shouting for a tougher schedule. Last year the Aggies had a pretty weak preseason and didn't dominate by any means (losses to Weber State, Cal Poly, UC Irvine, Utah, & Vandy). It would be nice to see a 2 for 1 against a PAC10, ACC, or SEC school once in a while for entertainment purposes, but a win against a no name school helps your RPI more than a loss against a big time program. Take care of business with the schedule you have. If USU goes undefeated in the preseason & conference, they will make the NCAA tourney even if they don't win the WAC tourney. We'd all like to see how they fare at home against a big school, but sometimes they barely pull of the victory against the small schools. I say establish some dominance (regular 30 point blowouts).
USU in the MWC???? | 12:59 p.m. July 28, 2008
Aggie in Colo. must have some damaged brain cells from years of illegal substance abuse. What on EARTH can USU bring that will add any value to the MWC??? They can NOT compete in any way. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy watching USU play, but I'm not going to kid myself into thinking they are better than they are. They are through and through mid-major performers with a rare ability for an impressive upset, but now that Carol is graduated, that may not be true anymore.

Furthermore, let me add that the MWC is failing and BYU and Utah need to get out of it before it gets much worse... then USU might find a place to fit, but only when they can't be shown year after year and sport after sport to be at best #3 in the state. See, the way things are now, you can keep saying that if only BYU would play you, you could show how much better than them you are. hahahaha yeah right.

I don't even like BYU or Utah that much either, just hate to see you guys crying over stupid logic.

Uhh...Is the previous poster serious? First of all, in basketball the WAC is as good or better than the MWC. Second, the Aggies were a good team before Carroll played and it can be argued they had much better teams before Carroll was on the team, so him leaving doesn't mean they won't be good. Finally, Utah State has winning records over both BYU and Utah over the past decade so I don't know what this third best talk is about. Since Utah simply won't win in Logan, USU's record against Utah will be 7-4 under Stew. That's a commanding lead, my friend.
