You got it right on Olave, best player on the pitch by far. Also, I agree with most of your other scores, with the exception of Beltran. He's made many more mistakes than Wingert, on the other side has by far. Beltran's distribution is poor, teams let him come forward because they know he's not comfortable with the ball at his feet, and he loses 9 out of 10 headers he goes up for. Keepers target him on every goal kick.
Interesting grades, I don't fully agree, but I think they are close.
I agree mostly, but it is weird to see Borchers on the low end. He has made some mistakes, but overall he has been one of the most consistent performers in my mind. Javi is my team MVP so far with Wingert and Olave receiving honorable mentions.
..was higher on that list. 1st season slump? Maybe he'll have a fantastic 2nd season...just in time to start practicing medicine and leave the team.
My Ratings in order of best:
Javier (MVP)
Espindola (good when playing)
Olave (solid CB)
Wingert (great LB)
Sturgis (not enough time, but good)
Borchers (Great CB)
Williams (creativity, but lacks finish)
Beckerman (good, but not as good as past year)
Findley (needs a first touch to compliment pace)
Dema (clogs middle, but nothing impressive)
Beltran (good for rookie)
Dr (needs someone for service, horrible with feet)
Rimando (for his height he is good, it kills him though)
Tino (clean up man ha ha)
Joy (bad start of season, deserves another shot)
Cutler (sucks off bench)
Mantilla (hand ball)
Yura (horrible, just horrible)
Not rated but desere time:
Chris Seitz (next US Goalie)
What is lacking, a good forward with ball control who is not hurt. Espindola can do it, but is injured.
We need: Another good striker, a good wing to whip it in, and just another mid to create depth
My grades:
RSL F minus
Agree with Ute fan.
RSL F Minus
ute fan and cougar fan are agreeing on something. how precious. Someone get a hallmark card ready
Wow! That was funny. Spend alot of time thinking that one up? I bet you're the big jokester at work too. Oh, by the way, don't forget to clean the windows when you are washing my car.
The comments here were all somewhat educated and respectable... until cougar and ute posted their 9th grade gibberish.
Anyway, I give them credit for tryig to give RSL a grade based on their knowledge of the team and understanding of the sport. For two guys who claim to hate RSL so much, I'd have to give them an A for the way they follow the team, read the articles (I'm assuming they read the artices), and post on the message boards. Well done Ute and Cougar fans. I'd also have to give them an A for fans of two teams that generally hate each other, but can come together on a common opinion. They are also deserving of an A for following and posting on a sport they hate so much. If I were to follow the everyday activities of the Jazz, and post numerous comments on their message boards about a sport or a team I wouldn't give two cents for, I think I might drive myself insane! Well done guys, you are the class act of all the soccer haters out there!
As for RSL! Take first tonight!
