He ocassionally mentions his personal LDS experiences, baptisms, sacrament, etc.
And, his open gratitude for it saving his life from alcoholism and drugs shows his humility and contrition.
His FOX News tribute to President Hinckley was very touching and sincere.
Google 'Glenn' to listen, and YouTube too for interviews and the tribute.
Let's all prepare for the end of the world as we know it.

Then maybe a new icon will appear, who may bring us back to the sense of direction of our founding fathers. Great country who has stumbled and fell.
Everyone have a happy fourth of July in rememberance of God and country.
The greatest part of America is the chance, the risk, the guts it takes for individual Americans to make decisions and develop themselves in a way that will address problems and prepare us for future success. I've never known a President, a government, nor a "program" that has done more than what the "collective good" or the "cumulative hard work of individuals" in making this country what it should be. I am going to do as Beck advises and look inward for answers and solutions rather than politicians or government or programs......
Just because you can't or won't...don't go telling others they shouldn't. You're wrong and you bring down others with your pessimism. Keep it to yourself. Instead, focus on whatever small thing you can do to be part of the solution and go out and do it. If it's just voting for the right people...do it. Every little bit helps. But don't bring others down!

It's obvious you have a problem with someone's religious beliefs. If that's the case, then you will a definite problem with our nation's Founding Fathers. May I refer to you a book entitled, "America's God and Country" by William J. Federer. Glenn Beck is an American who has not forgotten what made this country "a choice land". Nothing wrong with being patriot.

I believe, however, that the greatest impact we will have in shaping the destiny of this great nation is by being true to our faith, by rising up to the clarion call of Ezra Taft Benson when he said the WE must "help bear off the kingdom (of God on the earth)triumphantly."
Politically it's a bit stacked against us. Remember, we're dealing with 99% of our senators, congressmen and media outlets who refuse to question how kerosene-like jet fuel can destroy THREE sky-scrapers. Every woodburning stove, barbeque grill and pot and pan that doesn't melt under constant heat is being ignored!
May God bless this great nation, and may being true to our faith help us in these exciting times.
Also, if Glenn is such a good Mormon, why was he working at BYU on a Sunday? Did he get apid for his appearance?
Next, would all you people be falling all over yourselves and gushing such comments about Saint Glenn if he weren't LDS?
And as far as his whole "We the people" comments, it just goes to show the guy hasn't had an original thought in years. I've said the same thing on this very site time after time.

Study American history; read the Federalist Papers; and consider the various arguments regarding religion, society, and government as found in the Records of the Federal Convention, just as a start, then wrestle with the conundrums that the Founders of our republic faced.
Life's choices are not so easily resolved by a few sensational diatribes from a TV personality. Thinking is hard work. I feel for BYU, my alma mater, when entertainment takes the place of academic instruction.

I love Glenn Beck, but honestly man.
Typical. Disagree and see who goes from expressing a point of view to name calling. But I forget....that's different.
The liberals are all gloom and doom. The people are too stupid to figure out anything. We must look to the government to solve all of our problems. And the problems are really too complex for the people, but we will never offer any real solutions ourselves because then we will be held accountable for our actions, or inaction, and be booted from office and we can't lose power no matter what! We talk a good game, we shoot the messenger instead of dealing with the message and life will just continue to go on as it is today.
Conservatives believe in the people and that people, when given the opportunity, will do the right thing and cause good to happen. Solutions are always introduced but routinely shot down by the left wackos. God is integral in the establishment of this nation. Just look at the history and how do you think the USA surpassed all the "ancient" countries so quickly and by so far? The people are the doers, not the government!
The problem with Glenn Beck is that he substitutes emotional and simplistic demagoguery for hard thinking analysis.

Does anyone know if Glenn Beck got paid for this show or not? Did the school pay for him to come? I'm just curious if BYU speakers get paid or not.
They probably do it out of pure religious zeal. It reminds me of the passage in Matthew where Christ states, "when people pray in public they have their reward."
Let us agree that we all want peace, freedom, prosperity and harmony and then work towards solutions instead of constantly attacking and belittling one another.
So much energy goes into the cantankerous dialogue and so little into listening and collaborating.
I want to say that I greatly respect and am deeply grateful for those who choose to do something as selfless as defend their countries and fellow citizens. Disagreeing with the choice to go to war doesn't mean people aren't thankful for our military. The criticism is never about them. Senator Obama (and Hilary Clinton for that matter) have never had anything but praise for our troops. Please don't tear others down just because they disagree with government policies. Those brave troops are doing their part to help us maintain such vital freedoms that truly set this nation apart. I do give my sincerest best wishes and thanks for your son's service and my prayer is that he will be safe and sound.
