Utah Utes football: Utah adds another Mr. Football honoree
52 comments | Read story
As for Mr Anderson, welcome to the UofU, you will find some silly fans (on both sides of the rivalry actually) but, with hard work and a level head you can do great things at Utah. Best wishes to you in your new future.
It is nice to know that a ZOOB is generally interested in the Utes to take time out of his busy schedule at 1:00 am, to make a comment that absurd on a Utah Utes football artacial. That comment just proves that are some ignorant byu fans. My favorit part of the hole article is the title: Utah adds ANOTHER Mr. Football honoree. Good stuf right there. That would be awesome If by chance Boo makes the starting rotation, just think how ashamed you will feel when Boo contributes to the spanking of your Cougars.
By the way I think somone put more than carrot chunks in your lime jello, possibly alcohol.
One more thing UTAH is back! deal with it!
2nd - This is a sports article! Of course fans are going to rile up the other fans. It's no disrespect to this kid! If this would have been a BYU recruit the U fans would have been saying worse things and on top of that some how it would have been the LDS churches fault for something.
3rd - My neighbor plays for the U and we give each other a hard time ALL THE TIME. I have season Tickets to Y games and told him if he doesn't have anything better to do on Saturdays this season he can come to some games with me. We just had a good laugh.
So in that spirit....
Unfortunatly, this kid is needed this year because of the U's weaknesses on D. He will not only get a rude awakening from the Y but every team that the Yewts lose to this season. Sorry you have to wear red, but it does cover up blood well.
Go Cougs!
As a Ute fan, i thought Boo Hoo's post was funny
Congrats to the Utes though. I am a Coug but love to see the Utes do well. What would this rivalry be if the Utes were not a quality program. It would quickly become the same as the Utah/USU or BYU/USU games. And no USU fans, we don't want to play hoops against you in Logan - I'm talking about football.
Go Utes this fall. I can't wait to see you play on satellite here in California! Get past Michigan and it could be a crazy awesome year!
(Ute fans are pretty good at keeping things in perspective) :)
As for BYU and Utah. BYU will win. It is that simple. There are polls that rank Utah higher than BYU but for the last 35 years I have picked the winner 100% of the time and this year... once again BYU will win this rivalry game. They have the offense and Utah doesn't. Utah has been lucky these past 2 years that the cougars came in nervous and didn't bring their "A" game. The Utes always show up with their "A+" game against the cougars but BYU can't seem to get up for it... and yet they have still won.
I look forward to this game this year... my only hope is that Kyle will remain the Utah head coach after this years loss. He will be great if Utah will stick with him.
BYU will go undefeated this year BTW.
Unfortunately Boo wont be starting and probably wont get much time out there on the field. I hope he competes and tries to beat some people out, but there are already 2 starters penciled in and 2 guys vying for the 3rd spot. My guess is he is red-shirted.
Welcome aboard.
On more than one occasion my comments have been censored but when I reposted the EXACT SAME comments with BYU substituted for Utah, they were miraculously 'clean' enought to be posted.
PATHETIC!
As for Boo Anderson, it is nice to see that Utah is still attracting the best in-state recruits.
Go Utes!!
As for the new recruit... WELCOME SIR... the water is just right!
Those of you that think Utah's D is weak...well, we were among the nations leaders in several categories last season and have filled the gaps were we needed to and expect nothing but the same for this season. Be ready Cougs...Zoobs....Kitty Kats....the Utes are gonna get ya!!!!!
Good for Mr. Anderson! College football will help him go to get a degree and he will make the Utah program stronger.
Good luck to him in all games. Keep the rivalry as the best in the MWC.
As for Boo I'm glad to hear that he has a goal of playing his first year. I love how the Utah players talk about hard work and preparation while the TDS talks about being blessed. I'll take players like Boo anyday.
BTW Bronco while recruiting missionaries and holding firesides in order to contact recruits in a bend-the-rules fashion probably didn't want him anyway.
And plays are plays, they played, they won. No woulda coulda shouldas. If you want that philosophy, we were only one play away from winning three in a row over you and just a couple of more for being on a 25 game winning streak. Games are played and are won and lost regardless of "luck". Luck happens to those who win because they are in position to win.
Congrats Boo. Here is a cougar fan hoping we see two undefeated teams face each other in November!
I pull for BYU but certainly recognize that hating some BYU fans is easily understandable and for some fans, I would even join them in their detest.
Maybe we should remember this is only about sports.
Oh, by the way, the churchs encouragement to defend the faith via the internet does not apply to newspaper articles about student athletics.
This year will be the beginning of the reminder that the Cougirls are playing with their second choice as head coach.
I see it both ways...
I hope you got what you wanted-"I think he's right"
