Boring. I thought we were gonna trade Booze for Beas in a blockbuster deal that
will have us reaping the benefits of the next NBA superstar. Don't get me
wrong, I like Boozer, BUT a trade for Beasley would've made for a much more
exciting draft night instead of this aptly dubbed "snooze-fest". Big
surprise the Jazz draft a couple of Euros that won't step foot in the
states for a couple of years...(snore). And as for Koufos we'll see him
making D-Leauge pals with Fez in no time. Exciting stuff for certain.

You don't trade an all-star and two time Olympian for an unproven draft
pick. At least not straight up.

Dont get me wrong, Koufos is a great player and if he learns how to clog the
lane a little, he can be a great pick up for the Jazz. However, they could have
done better. We started yesterday with a 14 man roster, only 12 can suite up,
and usually only 9 or 10 players actually play during a game. Therefore, the
Jazz could have done something instead of going completely overseas. Who knows,
their still may be something in the works.
The Jazz have 2 really big needs - an interior defender and backup point guard. They didnt address any of these needs. They could have picked up Cal's DeVon Hardin who is freakishly athletic and a specialist in blocking shots but chose a soft 7'2 Ante Tomic. They still could have gone overseas to pick up a backup point to bring over next year since we dont have a first round draft pick next year but chose a PF (which isnt bad but doesnt address a need)
All in all, I would grade this draft a C based on the Jazz personal not really addressing any future needs.

What are you expecting picking 23rd in a weak watered down draft. There was no
one left to pick, There's no way your trading Booze for Beasley when
everything you hear about the kid is that he is immature. We don't need to
be rebuilding out front court.

Price is a good back up point guard. The Jazz really don't have any
"needs", but Koufos plays exactly like Okur so when Okur is in foul
trouble we still have a big man shooter coming into the game.
And does anyone honestly believe Beasley would work out well in Utah? I am not questioning Beasleys ability cause he definitely is talented, but no way would he fit into Sloans team.
Also Boozer had a couple of bad series, but other than that he was an all-star last year so why is everyone wanting him gone? The only way the Jazz should trade him is if they get Elton Brand for him.

People have seen what Boozer does when he finds a situation that he likes better then the one is thanks to the ordeal in Cleveland. Better to trade him while the Jazz still have him until waiting for him to opt out of his contract next year and make a run for it. And after last year what better time to trade him then now when he is healthy and has trade value

We dont have any needs? Please! We need an interior defender (I wish roy Hibert
would have fallen to us) and a outside defender ( I wish Abu a Mata would have
fallen too)..

Boring draft from a Jazz perspective, good picks from jazz management
considering there are no roster spots with the current signed players.... AK or
Boozer should be traded, we need cap room to lockup DWill and be able to match
any offers for Milsap.
AK, JHart, and possibly Fesenko to Miami for Marion?
AK, Jhart to Knicks for draft picks?
What do the Jazz do with 4 shooting guards? Brewer and Korver are must keeps. Do we stay with CJ or go with Almond? Surely Almond has some trade value after shooting lights out in the DLeague lol.

After the draft we are still weak at defending the 2 guard. This will be
another season of McGrady and Kobe going around Brewer during every posession.
I guess we can settle with another quick exit from the playoffs.

This is the first anonymous and honestly we have a really good shot-blocker...
AK-47, a good banger even though he struggles on offense... Harpring, a guy that
is very quick with great length... Brewer and one of the toughest and best
hustle players in the league... Milsap. I do agree that we could use a banger in
the middle, but with as much talent as the Jazz have no in the pick would have
really helped.
Honestly I am starting to agree that the Jazz should trade Boozer because all of this talk that he is going to opt out to make more money. Even if he doesn't live a belief that if someone signs a contract they should keep it. Trade Boozer and AK for Corey Maggette and Elton Brand. yeah, not so sure about maggette being a good defender, plus its hard to measure
any intanglibles the guy brings (he scores and rebounds and nothing else).
brand for booze would be a good pickup. for an undersized power forward (like
booze), brand is a good shot blocker and has decent offensive skills but you
gotta look at boozers upside in comparison as brand does have a lot of injuries
in his longer career in comparison to boozer relative youth. no way on the ak
for maggette though. theres no need for another player who takes shots and
nothing else on the jazz (harp could do the same and he plays harder). i think
everyone needs to stop panicking about all these trades.
