VA sends out warning on anti-smoking drug

The only reason the Veterans Affairs Department is sending letters to about 33,000 veterans who are taking the anti-smoking drug Chantix, in one area of the country also, is because they were sued, they never tell a Vet's about any possible side effects of anything they hand out for that $8 copay, and when you ask, they tell you only a couple of them and not all. This is one drug they give to you at their free stop smoking clinic along with gum and the patch. They cover their butts by saying "urges anyone who is experiencing side effects or is worried about continuing to use the drug, to consult with their doctor", they also don't tell you about side effect's either. They just harp-on "stop smoking" only. I know, I have been there many a time. Plus when asked they won't give you the list along with that drug, telling you side effect's in a black box on it. On the bright side to this, the VA is all we Vet's have to get help at in the USA. Can't afford real healthcare, just the VA. Sad hey?. It's true.
