Good Morning, I live in Nauvoo and am thankful that this historic flood is about history for us here in Nauvoo and others who live along the river. Your article is incorrect regarding the levee break at Gulfport, Illinois. The levee did break just south of this city and sadly flooded this small town and the farmland around it. Another levee broke south of Nauvoo and that break flooded another small town of Meyer, Illinois.
