An awesome game! So glad that the Celtics beat those LA Lakers!!! And they not only beat them they wiped the floor with them! WAY TO GO CELTICS!!!

Which is more painful way to loose game 6; Having the MVP on the other team shove your player defending him away then hitting a 3, or having the MVP on your team dissapear for the series and loosing game 6 by 39 points?
I think the latter is worse. Now I don't feel quite so bad about "The Shove". What makes it even sweeter is the anticipation of the offseason, when the MVP becomes the MWP (Most Whining Person) blaming everything on his team, taking no accountablitly for the loss, and demading to be traded. The perfect end: Kobe ends up in Phoenix with Shaq.

Hey, I'm still allowed to dream, arn't I?

Ha! Yes! The right team does win sometimes.

I'm not much of a Celts fan, but it's good to see them get the championship. Garnett and Allen are two of the better people (not just players, *people*) in the NBA. More than anything, it's good to see Kobe and Phil Jackson and the Lakers get whipped.
Dog | 5:35 a.m. June 18, 2008
Now if only the Jazz.......
LA Fakers | 7:21 a.m. June 18, 2008
Now what team are all of you band wagon La Faker fans going to cheer for. My guess is you will now become Boston Celtics fans.
Hallelujah! | 7:28 a.m. June 18, 2008
Thank you, Boston for helping all of us Jazz fans breathe a little easier! I don't know whether I am happier for people like Ainge, KG and the big three, or happier that Kobe didn't win, but that was a great finish. Jazz angst can now subside now that Bryant is relegated to the same fate that the rest of the NBA is...

Kobe Bryant and A-Rod are one in the same person!

Whahoo!!!
sob | 7:32 a.m. June 18, 2008
agree with ing, kevin g has labored long and hard and never been a me firster. good for him. no more smirks from kobe this year.
Celtic Pride | 7:53 a.m. June 18, 2008
Hey, what about Danny Ainge, Larry Bird, Dennis Johnson, Kevin McHale....? That is Celtic Pride. The Lakers are, were, and continually whine about everything. They are Hollywood, and Kobe is their lead whiner. They live in a box and cannot figure out how to be decent and gracious winners and losers. Phil Jackson as coach of the year? Give me a break. With all that talent, any idiot can sit there and stack a line-up.
Laker Time | 8:17 a.m. June 18, 2008
Danny Ainge didn't do a thing to help them win, unless you count working on Sundays. Kobe could take any Celtic one on one, he got to the finals with a team of losers. There are no other players in NBA history that have been as good as Kobe except Jordan who also played with losers. KG is good, but would be better in purple and gold. Purple and gold forever you whining Jazz fans. Guaranteed Laker championship next season.
Petey | 8:32 a.m. June 18, 2008
The Jazz could have played the Bulls a million times and never won the ring. I'm so tired of hearing about the push. Stockton and Malone, the two most overrated players in the history of the game. Hornecheck is the least deserving player ever to have a jersey retired. Ever. Somebody tell me another player who has a jersey retired who is less deserving that Jeff. The only reason we were even close is Slone is a genius.
Jazz Fan (The Original) | 9:00 a.m. June 18, 2008
Celtics: Nice going....the purchased championship...have guns will travel. Why don't we just have all-star teams each year? That way, everyone in the league could get a ring by the time their career is over. Pearce is the only one I feel good about...Ray Allen and Kevin Garnet are losers, and were hired to win the championship. Also, the officiating in the final series was just atrocious.

All you Los Angeles Laker haters are losers!
Here's to you . . . | 9:11 a.m. June 18, 2008
To Laker Time: you'd better check your info again about Danny Ainge, he did play an important part. As for your guarantee, good luck, don't bet your shirt on it.

The Boston Celtics are a team from Heaven! I guess for Bryant and Fisher what goes around comes around. Too bad they lost respect for the game and the people who pay their salary.
Go Home Petey | 9:32 a.m. June 18, 2008
Stockton and Malone the most overrated players in the history? You have got to be kidding me. Stockton is the #1 steals and assists leader of all time, and Karl was the best at his position (Tim Duncan is a center fyi). I partially agree with you about Hornacek, he got his jersey retired because he's a good family man and Larry Miller likes that.
Celts | 9:31 a.m. June 18, 2008
It's all about hating the Lakers, not liking the Celtics. Laker-Haters UNITE!!
Yo Jazz Fan! | 9:34 a.m. June 18, 2008
The Celtics purchased the Championship with the same amount of money the Jazz are alotted each year. Looks like if the Jazz were smarter in their signings and trades they could do the same. Give Ainge credit, when they signed Allen eveyone said, "washed up," guess he proved them wrong.
Re: Jazz fan | 10:27 a.m. June 18, 2008
Looks like someone is just a little bitter. If the officiating was so atrocious, how come the free throw attempts number was nearly identical over the past three games?
You look like a whiny Fakers fan pretending to be a Jazz fan, you can't be both.
Laker babies | 11:59 a.m. June 18, 2008
This proves that the jazz are a better team than the lakers and that the refs help the lakers win. The jazz could win in boston and actually split the reagular season with the celts. The lakers lost both reagualr and could not come close to winning in boston. They got spanked!!! lakers can not win without the help of the refs.
Utah Jazz fans are happy | 12:11 p.m. June 18, 2008
Classless Utah Jazz fans only wanted the Lakers to lose! They are the "bandwagon fans of the Celtics"!

I agree Boston Celtics deserved to win. They played an awesome game.

It's too bad that Jazz fans do not have the respect for Kobe Bryant that the actual players who PLAY AGAINST him have!

Lakers did pretty good considering a year ago we would have been happy to just make it to the playoffs.

lakers | 12:32 p.m. June 18, 2008
Bandwagon lakers fans can now be celtics fans. Kobe bryant cannot play defense! The lakers are just as stacked as the celtics, and the lakers are totally used to buying themselves a championship, they try every year. Phil jackson cannot coach. Almost anyone with the talent phil jackson has had on a team could win a championship. It was just good to see the lakers play without the help of the refs. I predict kobe bryant will want to be traded to the celtics this offseason. what a baby.
Lakers | 12:59 p.m. June 18, 2008
I love how kobe can go on a drive to the lane and lower his shoulder, push planted defenders and shoot, and somehow the defenders get called for a foul. What a joke. When the lakers got into the finals and the story broke out about the ref scandels the nba had to have its refs call a realistic and fair game, because everyone was watching. With a fair game being called the lakers totally choked. Lamar odem is the biggest choke in the world. He never should have represented the USA in the olympics, he is not good at all!
lakers | 1:13 p.m. June 18, 2008
Wow! 39 pts!!, Wow!!
B L O W O U T ! ! !
What happed to all of those laker fans that used to comment on here before.... oh yeah a BLOWOUT!!
unbiased | 1:51 p.m. June 18, 2008
Oh how it must be bugging Howard Stern that he is losing control of the outcome of games. When it comes to fixing games by controlling the refs he is the guiltiest of all. He's probably made a fortune in Vegas that way. Now that this is all coming out about the refs he has to be pissed. As for the Lakers vs. Boston, I'm a fan of neither, but I am glad to see Kobe go down. Wanting him to lose was the only reason I watched the series.
RE: Lakers | 1:54 p.m. June 18, 2008
I'm a true Laker fan! Comments during the playoffs have been made about the Celtic fans suddenly coming around this year because they are winning. Once a Laker fan ALWAYS a Laker fan!!

FYI: The Lakers are NOT as "stacked" as the Celtics. Hello.... Danny Ainge went out and got KG & Ray Allen to play with Paul Pierce! The Lakers did not "BUY" any players at the beginning of the year. They only went out to get Pau Gasol to try and salvage their year when Bynum went down.

Utah Jazz fans if offered a chance for Kobe Bryant would JUMP at the opportunity.

OH and about the fouls...you don't think the discrepancy of the foul difference AGAINST the Lakers in the second game was a bit weird!

Fan of the game | 2:00 p.m. June 18, 2008
There are only two ways to feel about Kobe; either you justifiably hate him -or- you admire him with the intensity of a repressed paedophile. Choose carefully.
JazzFan | 2:23 p.m. June 18, 2008
The Lakers embarrassed the superior western conference. Atlanta, the worst team in the playoffs gave Boston a far tougher series. The Lakers played their best ball early and saved their worst play when it mattered most. Bryant had a good back. Didn't matter. Any other team out west would have given them a better series.
Good job Danny Ainge, Rose is doing a good job but I wish Danny could coach BYU.
ZEKE | 2:38 p.m. June 18, 2008
To all you Laker fans
You found out who the real NBA MVP was and wasn`t Kobe. Goes to show you what playing good defence does when the game is called fair. The Celtics didn`t beat the Lakers they buried them. I couldn`t be happier to see the NBA`s biggest whiners Byrant and Jackson get beat.
lakers | 2:59 p.m. June 18, 2008
Hey laker fans, a few questions for you:
1. Why is luke Walton in the NBA?
2. Why can't kobe play defense?
3. How is the Celtic curse feeling these days?
4. Is it weird to see your team play with a non-biased ref squad?
5. byu, zewbies, stink!
6. How did Pau get so ugly?
7. Is it just me or is Kobe a little crosseyed? He has some major creep problems going on!

to the one laker fan brave enough to comment on his team. The lakers could probalby get as much talent as boston if they didn't overpay Kobe and espessially MR. Phil (only coaches stacked teams) Jackson. think about it, lakers have as much money as the celtics. poor loser!
IdahoJazzFall | 3:41 p.m. June 18, 2008
What a finish! Lost by 39 points. Kobe-MVP-or most over-rated?

Derik Fisher - You got your just reward for lying to the world. You could have stayed with the Jazz for more money with a short 2 hr flight to LA for your daughters care. You could have been part of something special!

Now you are just another footnote in Laker/Hollywood mystique. But you are still a looser!
SARAH | 4:06 p.m. June 18, 2008
YEAH BABY!!! IM SO GLAD THAT Boston Celtics WON!!! THEY KICKED THE LAKERS ASSES!!!!!!!!!!!! GO BOSTON CELTICS!!!! GREAT GAME LAST NIGHT..........I LOVED WATCHING IT.
Re: Petey | 4:32 p.m. June 18, 2008
I totally agree that Horny's jersey retirement is a joke. But Darryl Griffith is even less deserving than him. Miller really went nuts retiring jerseys. Stockton and Malone are the only two Jazz jerseys which should be retired. The standard has been set far too low.

The Lakers losing by 39 is great! Koby and Phil, welcome back to reality.
ha | 5:50 p.m. June 18, 2008
Nothin made me more happy than the jump ball KG got with Pau, sure pao won the tip(on a quick tip) but the look on his face after the call was priceless, as was the way Odom tried to talk after KG swatted him to the third row at the end of the game. KG has the attitude to win, the Lakers just have a bunch of attitude problems. Sasha trying ti flop on a screen leaving Allen wide open was awesome too. As the fans shirts stated, LA Sucks!
Laker Fan | 6:43 p.m. June 18, 2008
Hate to inform you but the worst loss in a NBA finals game belongs to none other than....UTAH JAZZ!!...lost by, I think they said 42 points, so one good thing from last night was at least the Lakers didn't take that record from you.

You Jazz fans are so funny! For the last 6 months you have complained how Pao Gasol was such a steal for the Lakers and now you don't seem to care.

Of course a comment about Derek Fisher must come up because the Utah Jazz Fans are known for their compassion!!

Lakers are not an embarrassment to the Western Conference. Let's see, they beat Denver, Utah Jazz, and San Antonio to get there. You blew it last year and your just jealous! The better team won in Boston last night but the Lakers are still a good team!
Kobe Lover | 7:51 p.m. June 18, 2008
Kobe won the MVP.

But wait, his teammates lost the Championship.

Kobe can do no wrong in LA.

But wait, his coach lost the Championship.

Kobe hit three monsterous 3 point shots.

But wait, his owner lost the Championship.

Kobe is rich.

But wait, the ref's lost the Championship.

The Black Mamba will rise again!

But wait, he lost the Championship.
Dick of the NW | 9:33 p.m. June 18, 2008
If any of you watched the NBA TV interviews after the blowout, did you notice the Celtic players were all about team while Kobe was all about Kobe. Kobe mentioned "my teammates." Doesn't his teammates know they are there to serve His will & desires. The Jazz are about team. However, the interview with Doc Rivers should be played for all Jazz players to watch & listen to. It is TEAM DEFENSE that wins championships along with team offense but it starts on the D-end first. Celtics had the best TEAM. I wonder if the rest of the league will apply the Celtic defense to the Fakers next year...HOPE. Looking forward to the draft....GO JAZZ.
NBA Championship | 12:38 a.m. June 19, 2008
It's amazing how much the Utah Jazz Fans trash talk the LA Lakers. Let's see, how many NBA championship banners hang in your arena?

Maybe you should wait until you get a championship to trash talk Kobe and the Lakers. Last time I counted Kobe has THREE RINGS!! LA Laker fans respect the Celtics because they at least have the hardware to back up the talk!

Who knows maybe Deron Williams & Carlos Boozer will do what KG and Ray Allen did to get a championship....SIGN WITH A TEAM THAT CAN WIN IT!!
Mike Ricci | 9:38 p.m. June 21, 2008
Kobe cant win anything without Shaq......Pau is soft and the lakers bench is a joke.....Kobe will never win another championship...period!

KG
Brent Ball Boy | 10:59 a.m. June 26, 2008
The personal attack on Derek Fisher, no matter what team you pledge allegiance to, for caring about the convenience of his daughter's eye care seems very un-understanding and petty. Derek Fisher is a class act! And that's coming from a Utah Jazz Fan, who felt the disappointment expressed by Carlos Boozer after their loss in Game 6 against the Lakers.
