I dont care what mormans beleive, not one bit. I do know the LDS church doesnt beleive in Polygamists marriage any longer. This should have been done LONG ago, in Utah before it got this far. It doesnt matter whether the call was a hoax are not. CPS investigated as they should have. You people act as if these are "poor people" guess what? They arent! They bought and built a ranch worth 20 million dollars, so put your kleenex away, no tears as far as im concerned.

Re: truth,, im rolling laughing here!!! Sure your a kid who was in protective custody,, NOT! Your story just doesnt even begin sounding truthful.. But you you enjoy your delusion, be my quest.

I can't wait for the FLDS to sue. This will give the defense subpoena powers. I'm looking forward to seeing Merril Jessop on the stand!!!!

Time to look at what it will cost if you screw with these people
Texas never dreaned what it would cost
Arizona is an ignorant state as well
God said let my people go!

There is always money to prosecute and persecute, but never any money to help the poor. I'm waiting for the next raid on Texas Jr. High's where underage activities are surely occuring under the watch of teachers which must be stopped.

To Utah,
You said it, God didn't say anything. This is about as intellectual as your Prophet Warren Jeffs, who sets in prison for being a child molester and a big liar. .
zxcvbnm | 2:50 p.m. June 14, 2008

Jeffs sits in prison for conducting a wedding ceremony (accomplice to rape). But there is no rapist ......the alleged rapist has yet to go to trial.
It will be interesting to see if the guy gets off and then where will this mess be. Jeffs in jail for accomplice to a rape that never occured.
If the "evidence" gathered at YFZ is thrown out then back to square one.
The keystone cops that orchestrated this whole jumbled mess need to be reassigned to the border patrol. They can arrest illegals 20 miles inside the Mexican border and save transportation costs.
wrz | 2:55 p.m. June 14, 2008
"Protection of the children was never the objective."

Oh, but it was. Protection of the girls from growing up and marrying old men. And protection of the boys from growing up to be old men marrying young girls.

This is where Texas made its colossal error. CPS is authorized to take children from their homes ONLY if there is IMMINENT danger to them. What is baffling is... CPS should have known better.

And it's going to cost Texas millions. CPS officials and all other State people involved in this fiasco should resign.
ignorant | 2:57 p.m. June 14, 2008
obviously none of you have never met Warren Jeffs or the FLDS people. What a shame. America has become bigger than God. We can make a judgement without ever seeing a person. Next this great nation will be judging God Himself.

***"All Children who live in America or any Territory of America, should have, A Right To Life from the Moment of Conception. Also from Birth to the Tomb protection from Abuse, Mental, Physical or Sexual."***

You got that right. My mom used to abuse me by insisting that I do my chores, clean my room, and make my bed. I think I should contact CPS.
Re: commonsense | 3:07 p.m. June 14, 2008
When you come into my house, at least have the very common courtesy to know it's spelled Mormon, silly katholic.

It will be interesting to see if the guy (Jeffs) gets off and then where will this mess be. Jeffs in jail for accomplice to a rape that never occurred."

Jeffs will get off because there was no rape. He is undoubtedly lining up his ducks to sue for false arrest and imprisonment.

Re Freddie

If you were FLDS they would take you in with open arms, console you for being so abused, and call you a Lost Boy.
Anonymous | 3:32 p.m. June 14, 2008
Warren Jeffs told his brother that he fornicated with his sibling. My guess he is that he is truly one whacked old sicko.
commonsense | 3:36 p.m. June 14, 2008
wrz jeffs is facing new charges now for marrying a 12yr old girl at YFZ ranch. Maybe you should think before your speak? NO, ive never met anyone from FLDS, but ive met many abused children. Its not a pretty site. Every Child should have a free will without the fear of being tossed out of their home. You want to get married at the legal age, no problem for me. But you start marrying underage girls, or sexually abusing little boys, then thats a Problem for me and Most of the United States. You may not like it, but thats the law.
commonsense | 3:44 p.m. June 14, 2008
People who have noting to hide, live openly, not behind locked gates, with a guard tower, off road vehicles to guard the inside of a fenced in Group of people.
Yes the children are suffering, and its horrible, but its because of Adults lifestyle , not CPS or a Judge or anyone else. Willie Jessop stood in front of cameras and said, there would be no further underage marriages. (no further?) What does that tell you? I guess Merrill Jessop is in "hiding" now along with many of the other men who lived at that ranch.
zxcvbnm | 3:59 p.m. June 14, 2008

Oh boy.....now Jeffs is charged with marrying a 12 year old..probably the same one he was kissing.
I may just go sit in that court room to see the state present its case.
Your honor....we have here the ID from the 12 year old......whoops she may be 28. Well we have the DNA ...........can't use that though. Your honor we have a picture.......nope can't use that either.
Your honor we can prove he was at the ranch on....nope he was in prison then. Your honor, as soon as we pump "Sarah" full of meds we will have a witness that....never existed. But we know that Flora said....whoops she was never there.
Look judge we have a tank ready to go, just say the word and we can find something.
Truth | 4:18 p.m. June 14, 2008
Re: commonsense, I don't care what you say, because I was too. My mother had her children in five different places in the state, ranging from Liverpool to CalFarley's Boys Ranch by Amarillo. The place where the children were given the yucky water and little food was at a shelter in Fort Worth. Be careful what you say when you were not there and thus don't know the truth.
Anonymous | 4:19 p.m. June 14, 2008
We all have yet to see any real evidence that the state has. There have been no arrests so was there really any abuse?
It seems like there are so many who want to believe the Flora's, Carolyns, Elissa', and the list goes on. I just wonder where all of the proof of all of these things is.
Kyle | 4:20 p.m. June 14, 2008
Why do Flds throw rocks at everyone and hide behind them as well. Do you Flds folks think this is cave man times or something? Rock on out of the dark ages folks and join the human race. After all, we are all gods children. Why do you people think you are so much more special than anyone else?... Is it because Warren old Jeffs told you so? Give it up! It's all make believe!!!!
Jerry L. | 4:40 p.m. June 14, 2008
Well for one, I am happily not FLDS. My hat goes off to those FLDS women who have come forth with their lives and stories on the FLDS cult. They are true heroines. May God bless them. And for those of you FLDS men who are constantly bickering and griping about these X FLDS women...too bad for you. They are the winners and you are the losers!
zxcvbnm | 4:55 p.m. June 14, 2008

All yall FLDS folks just hold tight for a while.
After this is all over you will have enough money to never have to drink Texas yellow water again. You can drill deep enough to hit a spring in that YFZ desert and bottle the stuff for resale.
By the way the yellow stuff in the water is from a high mineral and sulfer content so don't worry.
The natives that drink the water too long get bad teeth and kidney stones but you have to drink the stuff for years.

FLDS raid costs surpass $14M - how much did it cost Janit Reno on her raid on waco?, money can't bring back the life of all that died in that raid in waco, so why the hyperboil feeding frenzy about another Texas raid?. You tell me.
zxcvbnm | 5:23 p.m. June 14, 2008

Re Brother Chuck>.. Ok I'll tell you. The Waco raid was one raid too many. It may have been the feds but they had enough help from Texas that the Texas bunch should have learned a lesson.
Now we have the YFZ fiasco to call our own and the mess is beyond shameful.
Last week in Killene the cops used an armored care and several swat teams to get one murder suspect.
The use of excessive force has gone too far in Texas and as a native Texan I am getting tired of it. This state has made a mockery of justice and law enforcement has turned into an industry similar to the military industrial complex of the cold war. In this case the war is being fought against its own citizens by a State with little regard for civil rights and due process.
"Save the children" has become the new battle cry for the worn out "war on drugs" excuse of the past.
This state imprisons more of its citizens than any other State in this union for shear profit....this time they lose money...thank God we didn't lose lives.

April 6, 2008- "We finally got to San Angelo and arrived at Fort Concho at 12:00 pm. They took all of us into one building where they had brought all the girls from the Baptist Church, making a total of 256 people in that one building. There was an upstairs part, but they refused to allow any of us to go up there. There were hundreds of army cots spread across the floor, with little walkways between them. There were also many snoopy CPS people all through the building, trying to hear everything we said. The room was just like a traffic jam. It was very loud with all of the crying children. We were treated more like animals than people. CPS seemed to expect us to bow to their every desire.

"wrz jeffs is facing new charges now for marrying a 12yr old girl at YFZ ranch."

Did she have a marriage license issued by the state? If not, there is no marriage. If she did, then the state is responsible for improperly issuing a license. If she had no license and was married by Jeffs, it was likely a FLDS "spiritual" marriage... which is not against any laws that I'm aware of.

"Every Child should have a free will without the fear of being tossed out of their home."

My fear was being taken to the wood shed.

How much did it cost Janet Reno to send the Federal Boogie Man after a 7 year old boy who's mother died trying to bring him to freedom. This had a lot more to do with then just Polygamy. I am sure the proper word for Mormons taking part in that is Not Hate. Mormons are not the only people that do or did do that. Polygamy has gone on for thousands of years, as has the I word. Some of that Line that went to David and from David to Jesus that we are so proud of was very closely related. If everyone is over 18, I do not care how they hook up. This was about Kids, and Abuse, Sexual Abuse and physical Abuse. Girls 13 and 14 and Bride Training (what ever that might include). Suppression and Repression. Leave under aged Females alone and leave under aged boys alone. Leave everyones Private Parts alone from Birth on. In America people should be allowed to merry who they want to when they reach the age they are old enough to say yes.

Truth and zxcvbnm

Please post the name of that shelter. The water being a yellowish color means that the plumbing in that building is in dire need of cleaning and repairs. The Children should never have been allowed to stay in that place. The building does not pass City Codes. Write the Star Telegram an email asking them to check the shelter out.

I know a little girl that spent time in the Childrens Hospital in Fort Worth because CPS refused to give her her medicine. CPS tried to blame their error on the Girls Mother. The Doctor at the Hospital stated a Timeline that put the Girl's Mother out of the picture as a cause for the sickness.

Three Children were sent out of State in a Vehicle with expired tags. They now live with a convicted Child abuser that uses drugs.

Oh PLEASEEEEEEEE! Okay whose next with wild untrue stories????
Truth | 6:50 p.m. June 14, 2008
By the way, that shelter in Fort Worth had been out of use for two years previous to this happening. The only time they put out clear water was when the inspectors would come to the building.
common sense | 7:06 p.m. June 14, 2008
Truth if the building was closed for two years? There would be no reason to inspect it at all. And before it could open, it would have to UP to Code.
Truth | 7:27 p.m. June 14, 2008
common sense, apparently, you just don't know a bit of the truth of what happened or how we've been dealt with. Of course they inspected every building they've put us in. They even did that at Ft. Concho when we were there. Some of those buildings have been out of use for 100 years and they look like it, too.
joy | 7:32 p.m. June 14, 2008
By the way, I am sick and tired of hearing Perry and other officials talk about "protecting" the children. Those innocent children are ,now, having nightmares and fears that they never previously experienced prior to being "protected" by the state.
.
If the parent's had not abused the kids and kept them out of society, and taught them that anyone outside was evil, then they would not have been so afraid.
So again, it is the parent's fault.

common sense,Texas Authorities haven't overridden the law only once! The truth hurts, doesn't it? Texas is just to proud to say they've done wrong. We're still wondering why they're still looking for abuse if they haven't found any for over two months.
common sense | 7:35 p.m. June 14, 2008
I know exactly what Ft Concho looks like, as well as the coliseum. I also know many of the volunteers who brought, food, water, supplies to the shelters in San Angelo. Now you can lie all you want Truth, but I know San Angelo Very Well. Of Course it was temporary, but you didnt need for anything while you were there, IF you were there? Which I doubt.
common sense | 7:41 p.m. June 14, 2008
They say the truth will set you free, Truth! Texas was trying to protect any more children from being sexually abused. Thats the truth! But you dont want to here that, because FLDS family have done it so long, its natural to them. But im here to tell you its WRONG!
Truth | 8:01 p.m. June 14, 2008
I think that common sense fell off topic and moved Ft. Concho up to Fort Worth. That person seems to be getting concerned that maybe I am telling the truth. Since I've got out of state custody and can see some of this, I'm starting to realize that in some people's minds, parents who love their children and want the best for them as their only motive is child abuse! Some people really miss it when they get to talking about us and they don't really know what happened.
common sense | 8:08 p.m. June 14, 2008
Truth, you were talking aboutu Ft Concho, if you scroll up to your above post. However, you honestly dont sound to truthful. So, i bid you a good nite.

Cost the state citizens of Texas over 14 million bucks for judicial incompetence and the liability to pay millions more in lawsuits. On the plus side, publicly exposed how evil CPS agencies do business every day in this country. I hope more lawsuits against state CPS agencies for using judicial abuse will put them out of business. We need less government, less prisons and less interference in our lives.

Common Sense-
Catholic Charities in Fort Worth turned in old unused orphanage back into a children's shelter just for the purpose of housing the FLDS kids. This is a quote from an abc13 article in April

""In Fort Worth, Catholic Charities is adding more staffers to handle the 35 Eldorado children it received this week, said Anne Mason, the group's director of development. Employees turned a former orphanage back into a children's home, she said.""
Truth | 8:29 p.m. June 14, 2008
goodnight common sense. Thanks for exposing your nonsense by not believing the truth when it was presented before you. I've already told enough details of what happened to prove I was there. And shelter 7 at Ft. Concho didn't even have air conditioning at first when some of us were put in there. When you sleep on one of those army cots for two weeks straight, let me know how your back feels."Like I say, we won't get back on the log until it floats back!."

Come on TRUTH:You honestly donot think that anyone would believe you for a minute!!That is the most stupid thing that I have read on this blog!!All the children that have been telling how thay were treated doesn't mention anything you said--oh another thing I don't believe that you were one of the kids taken out anyway.
zxcvbnm | 8:57 p.m. June 14, 2008

Well there CS.so they didn't want for anything while at Ft Concho and the Coliseium.......how about freedom.
You seem to have forgotten about the state MHMR workers who reported CPS abuses to their supervisor after observing the treatment of the captives held in the coliseium.
Freedom is an interesting thing CS .....people could have been locked in the best hotel in the world but it still would have been a prison. For 14 million Texas could have built a heck of a nice concentration facility.....but it still would have been a prison.
Truth | 9:05 p.m. June 14, 2008
Disgusted, the other children have not told you how they were treated. And after you sleep on army cots for two weeks straight, maybe you will believe me. And you ought to try sleeping on one in a mechanical room with someone guarding you for one night- with a thin blanket and a vinyl pillow- on a cold night. If you had been there, maybe you would believe. But not until then. That's usually how it is for most people anyway.

Isn't it interesting how anyone that supports the FLDS are accused of being FLDS or FLDS sympothizers.
When someone claims to be FLDS and or has experienced the captivity they are not believed.
Tell ya what, from now on Texas will tattoo a number on the forearm of captives so they can be identified.....but then everyone will say the numbers are faked.
Truth | 9:20 p.m. June 14, 2008
Janet, if I back down from anything I've said, I'll be lying. Thanks for your good advice at the bottom, though. Honesty certainly is the best policy. And truth will prevail, even if no one believes it.

Times are tough for CPS. The cost of the raid on YFZ has been a difficult burden. From the Star Telegram in Texas, an article itemizing the various costs::

"The documents did include e-mails circulated among some of Perry's top staffers in response to a May 25 Star-Telegram report on complaints about delayed reimbursements to some state protective services employees. The e-mails included "travel voucher talking points" explaining the process for ensuring prompt reimbursement and expressing empathy for employees who must pay their ever-rising gasoline bills upfront.

"We have been hearing a few anecdotal stories from staff that they are feeling the gas price pinch and that their reimbursements are taking too long," the talking points say before explaining how the reimbursement policy works."
