Would love to see Kaun play for my homestate Jazz. Have watched him for two years and love his winning attitude and good work ethic.

Jimmy's Sneakers

Jimmy hopes the Jazz draft Sasha Kaun if for no other reason than we can make Shacka Kaun jokes.

...but seriously, barring trades, the Jazz need to draft 2 foreign players in the 2nd round because they don't have room right now for two 2nd round prospects to make the team with all the guaranteed contracts currently in place. That or they can trade those picks for future 2nd rounders.

Stevo

Jimmy,

I love you.

I like watching Kaun but if I were doing the picking I would take Hibbert over Kaun although Kaun wouldn't be a bad pick at all. Kaun is good but I think Hibbert has better fundamentals and is a little more solid in the lane.
Has anyone heard of the kid that got the nickname "baby shaq"? That might be what the Jazz need but just from judging from the name but does anyone know anything about him? All I know is that he average 17 points last season where he played. Anyone got any other stats?

Hate to encourage Jimmy's Sneakers; however, I have no choice but to agree.

Hibbert might be a nice project, especially since he wants to play in UT and he contacted the Jazz to schedule a workout (the guy obviously has some mental issues).

But if we can't trade our picks and spare parts to get a solid veteran, Jazz need to draft foreign players. No room on the roster until after this season when we'll say goodbye to at least Hart & Collins. I'm betting Price will be resigned, but Kevin and Jerry need to resolve the SG situation (not enough room and P/T for Brewer, Miles, Korver and Almond).

Re: Tj

"Baby Shaq" is Nathan Jawai who the Jazz also worked out but the article failed to write anything about him.

Alex in Kansas

Tj,

I think you're referring to Glen Davis (aka Big Baby Davis). He was drafted out of LSU (the same university Shaq played at) and is on the Boston Celitcs roster. However, he only averaged about 5 points last season... I've had the chance to watch him a few times this season. One of the knocks on him coming out was that he was overweight, but he seems to have shed some of the excess off and is doing okay... I think the Jazz have enough undersized big men as it is on the roster (Boozer, Millsap) and should go for a larger body.

Comical

It is very pleasing to see the glimmering and glowing love being shared between Stevo and the ever famous "Jimmy". I tend to disagree with the fact that the Jazz need to draft any foreign players. It does make for a very humorous output and consideration, but ONLY ONE MAN remains, and that is GIRICEK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jimmy's Sneakers

Jimmy loves his fans here in Utah. There is no place Jimmy would rather be. Jimmy is also wondering if anyone knows about that Canadian that they call Big Daddy. Jimmy thinks that he might be a good project.

TJ

Alex in Kansas,
I know who Glen Davis is and I know he plays for Boston. I was referring to Jawai who worked out with the Jazz. It was said on the news that many call him Baby Shaq. I want to say he is from Austrailia but that may be wrong. He has not played in the USA though.
I remember Big Baby all to well. I am a die hard Blue Devils fan and did not enjoy the game when LSU put Duke out of the NCAA championship the first year Florida won it.

I just wish the Jazz would rid themselves of Jerry
(love to drink too much) Sloan as the coach and move
forward to the next era.

Jimmy you shouldn't be posting any more. You know what the doctor told you. And you are wrong if the Jazz drafted Sasha Kaun he would need to play this year. Yes he is Russian, but no he is not being drafted from a foreign team so the Jazz could not leave him "over their" for a few years. Jimmy come home now, and put the doll down, please.

Jimmy Loves Kobe Bryan!!! Kobe! Kobe! Kobe!

Nathan Jawai played here in Australia in our National League, He has played 1 year in this league and dominanted every big man here barr one - Chris Anstey our current MVP, Nathan will continue to improve and is athletic and has a got attitude. He would be a vast improvement of what we currently have on the Jazz bench. Even though Bogut is an Aussie too , I think he would fit in the Jazz system well. The Bucks are looking to change there roster and Bogut knowns SLC, Any thoughts for a trade !

Trade Rumor

Colins and Hart for Bogut.

Rock Chalk Doc

Please don't let Jerry Sloan ruin another of my Jayhawks. He turned Ostertag, who had solid fundamentals in college, into a bum. He sat Jacque Vaughn on the bench, arguably the best point guard in Jayhawk history with unbelievable hustle and defensive tenacity, in favor of an ancient Stockton. When Stockton retired and Vaughn had already moved on the Jazz struggled for years without a solid point guard that easily could have made the transition smoother. I know that D Will is all that now, but don't forget the frustration at the point before his arrival. If the Jazz are lucky enough to get another Jayhawk...develop them Jerry! ROCK CHALK JAYHAWK KUUUUUUUUUUUUU.

wut about boozer, collins, brewer, and almond for hamilton, prince, and afflalo

Nathan Jawai got his nickname of Baby Shaq by dominating every other big man in the Australian league. Considering that it was only his first year there is a ton of potential to develop and may be a good option for the Jazz. Hibbert would also be a good fit for the Jazz. In the so called Jazz-Pistons- Boozer is good in the low post and works great with Williams. Maybe hard to replace that combo. Also would like the Jazz to hold on to Morris Almond - he has got potential to be a good mix in the Jazz team.
