Whatever it takes to get more wins. RSL needs to make the playoffs this year!
RSL Fan | 5:06 p.m. June 10, 2008
Wow,

Exciting pick up! 2nd division wash out. What is the deal with the Nick Besagno. Is he ever going to amount to anything?
NSC. | 5:40 p.m. June 10, 2008
So Besagno has been loaned out to the Seattle Sounders. Fans in the Emerald City must be bleeding excitement at this move.
Maybe a impact player like Besagno can help them lure a international face? Thierry Henry? Everyone knows Henry and Besagno are cohorts.
Joke. I'm joking.
As for this Schindzielorz character, I think RSL may have found their missing link in a 37-year-old midfielder, who is now attempting to make a name for himself in a place other than Greece. Speaking of Greece, this guys' team, Levadiakos must cherish his role on the club. Three games played. One yellow card.
Just an amazing sequence of events by RSL management. Two of the Che's are hurting, and if Morales was injured as he is so often, Lagerway and maybe even Kreis might be lookin' for a new job.
Who is the imposter wearing the #16 shirt? Certainly isn't the most-hyped off-season acquisition. Can't be....can it?

His Greece team was in the top division, or so I read. I also read that he played 22 games last season with them, not three and that he was still under thirty. Regardless, I don't konw if this is the right move or not, but hopefully he is pretty decent and can contribute to the team if they sign him.

Tippeliegan (well that's how it is spelled here - the correct spelling is Tippeligaen) is the name of Norway's top division, not a team. He played for IK Start.

Give me a head's up when they find a wing player(s) that can get some quality service to #16 and then we will see the offense take off. I understand the need to have depth at every position, but do not forget we need some quality starters on the wings if we are ever going to win some road games. In fact anytime the pitch grows to a legit width RSL seems exposed. By the way what is the width on the field at the new stadium?
DP Slot | 8:59 p.m. June 10, 2008
So when are we going to fill our 2 designated player spots? LA has Beckham and Donovan, DC has Gallardo and Emillio, New York has Angel and Reyna. As far as I know, Houston is the only team that has been able to produce good stuff without filling a DP slot. We need a DP slot filled so we can start producing...i'm thinking maybe Bocanegra from Fulham since he's out of contract. We also need to swoop over and pick up Nate Jaqua who is also out of contract. Please find someone...we need a donovan or beckham-esque player at RSL for the publicity and the play. Oh and please...don't get someone like Freddy Adu, get someone who's proven and produce now!
Forward | 9:51 p.m. June 10, 2008
Give me a break, we do not need another mid we need a proven forward that scares defenders. Way to go front office are you trying to trade all your fans to other teams. We might have to start going to local high school games for fun to see a forward score.
Wing player | 11:22 p.m. June 10, 2008
Does anyone know where this guy plays? He better be a good wing player and not another defensive mid.

Nate Jaqua? He is like a Duechars but with bad touch. Nate Jaqua is the white version of Atiba Harris. Name someone at forward who is better than Espindola, Findley, and Duechars and who we could actually get. Quality forwards cost a lot of money and pick who they want to play for. Our best chance is to get another South American without a big name. So far our South Americans are over 50%. Espindola, Morales, Olave are all good. Mantilla and Cordoba are complete busts. I say go hunting south again.
He's 29 | 11:28 p.m. June 10, 2008
From what I could find on the internet he is 29 years old.
Agree with Most | 12:21 p.m. June 11, 2008
We need an elite striker. Nothing more; nothing less. We do not need another defesive Mid as, this guy is called. Also, I call for the RSL FO to find some players that have easier names to spell.

Where is Mike Jones when we need him?

On another note, watching RSL this year has convinced me not to renew my season tickets. And the price increase? Incredible. Not me!
Patrick Kluivert | 12:23 p.m. June 11, 2008
Get Patrick Kluivert now!
Thats the problem | 1:25 p.m. June 11, 2008
with MLS they get the FORMER players. And these # 1 picks (kids) and try to play game. Kids playing with over the hill old guys.
Anonymous | 2:04 p.m. June 11, 2008
We need a striker.
Anonymous | 2:26 p.m. June 11, 2008
we don't need another midfielder. Why garth is not looking for a forward is a puzzle! His "finding" talent is questionable" Joy , Deuchar and Cordoba.
Deuchar fan | 4:51 p.m. June 11, 2008
I know Deuchar has not performed great for us, but I still think he will improve into a very high caliber player. Players go through slumps at all levels, just give him some time. I don't want to jinx the team, but I think RSL is starting to get better. The team has scored a lot of goals this year. They need to play better on the road and get some Ws on the road. RSl will win this Saturday at Chivas. This potential new guy shouldn't be considered yet. Let the existing team gel together.
Hugo Sanchez | 6:40 p.m. June 11, 2008
Hire Hugo Sanchez as the coach after Kreis. That would kick some serious booty. He can then get us some good Mexi players herein slc. That would be the coolest. Maybe Bofo? Someone? Any Mexi striker? Please!

I'm not Mexi, but I think they play better than the US players. More skill. Also, may help draw the latino crowd to Real Stadium.
No way Hugo Sanchez | 8:07 p.m. June 11, 2008
If we hired Hugo Sanchez, it would just be so we could fire him later. And we don't want "good" Mexi players so we can attract the latino fans; that's not our motivation; we want a good team that wins games, and the fans (bandwagon and otherwise) will show up.

And as for the Mexi players playing better than the USA guys? Check the USA vs. Mexico win/loss record over the last 28 years!! Our first win ever against Mexico was in our 1st match ever against them -- 1934. We didn't beat them again until 1980!! However, SINCE 1980, our record against the Mexicans is 14 wins, 8 losses, and 7 ties. Since 2000, our record against Mexico is 9 wins 2 losses, and 2 ties. So, go ahead and say the Mexis are better, and I'll tell you that you're living in the past, the WAY DISTANT past. I know that you'll come up with all sorts of clever excuses and explanations, but my response will trump yours every time: SCOREBOARD, BABY! -- 28 years of SCOREBOARD!!!!!
RPH | 10:34 p.m. June 11, 2008
First, RSL does not possess 2 DP spots; they would have to trade for one in order to get up to two. Second, why the hate for Jaqua? He's not a bad prospect. He's not a great forward, but he is young and fit and was scoring a goal every other game for his new team in Austria. There's no way he deserves a DP spot though, but he would not be a bad fit for RSL and he certainly is no worse than Deuchar.
RE: SCOREBOARD | 4:28 p.m. June 12, 2008
Get your facts straight. The US only has an advantage in the US since 2000. The US team rarely travels to Mexico now because they know it is a sure loss.

Overall, Mexico leads the rivalry 29-13-10, but the U.S. has a 12-8-7 record in the series since 1990, including a 9-2-2 mark since 2000. Almost all of the games since 1990 being played in the US, not in Mexico.

Mexico
dominated the United States on the field for 40 years, compiling a
20-0-3 record.

The
Americans pulled off an occasional win during the 1980s and 1990s that
most likely was credited to the law of averages or luck, if you were
a Mexico fan.

Has the US won in Mexico? Nope!
U.S. posting an all time record of 0-22-1 in Mexico.

Why do the Mexican club teams ALWAYS beat the MLS teams? They have better players, mostly Mexican. There are more better players in Mexico than in the US.

Everyone knows the Mexicans are better players. The US just happens to have better fitness.
