Wow, another thing that you have to PAY for at the zoo. They are raking in the dough between the carosel, the over priced (and icky tasting)food, the overpriced "souveniers" and the train ride. And they want us to give MORE money (property tax) for improvements? Can't they fund their own improvements?
And, by the way, what type of conservation is the zoo really involved in? sounds like they just raise money and send it to other organizations that actually do the work.
