Was that what it was? The strange sound of hope breaking out all over the world. I feel warm and fuzzy all over.

And who at AP (or the DNC)fabricated this little bit of propaganda?

Hope and optimism by the cosmopolitan Obama?

"Okay boys, let's throw these talking points against the wall and run with whatever sticks."

From a scientific sampling of one street sweeper in the Netherlands: Obama victory sparks worldwide excrement.

Come on, people at home and around the world are too busy trying to make a living to mount any groundswell of hope and optimism over this victory.

Worldwide excitement - and worldwide censorship. Why is the story that Obama's pal Tony Rezko got convicted getting buried by the mainstream media everywhere?

Obama had overcome racism and represents a new I, Me, My generation born after the baby boom, let's see what he also sparks-off, when the truth's also come out World Wide about him. Just what are Barack Obama's positions on the issues important to our country?. A prominent fundraiser for Sen. Barack Obama was convicted of fraud, money laundering and bribery after a trial that exposed a corrupt culture of payoffs and campaign finance abuses plaguing Illinois politics. Antoin "Tony" Rezko, 52, who according to witnesses wielded wide powers within the Blagojevich administration and now faces a stiff prison sentence. Political corruption in Illinois has been deemed so extensive that the FBI has sent an extra official corruption squad into the state. The presumptive Democratic presidential nominee is accused of no wrongdoing so far and his name was barely mentioned at trial, but Republicans are unlikely to let voters forget about his ties to Rezko as the presidential race heats up real soon.

I didn't make it to work on time today. All morning I was fascinated by the TV reports of jubilation from all over the world at the Obama victory.

Then, I couldn't back my car out of the driveway because of all the spontaneous partying in the streets following the worldwide excitement.

Resigned, I finally walked down to Jamba Juice and ordered a "Hope and Optimism" with wheatgrass and, that's where I'm going to spend my morning.

Ain't life grand when you have hope?

Was that the audacity of hope (and excitment) I saw breaking out spontaneously wherever good people gather to talk?

Due to a pledge not to campaign in Florida Obama tried to make up for lost time with his first big campaign swing through Florida in mid May. On May 22, the day Obama drew a crowd of 15,000 for a speech in Tampa, St. Petersburg Times political editor Adam C. Smith asked Obama in a private interview if the no-campaign pledge might have consequences with Florida voters. "Do you see why some Floridians would be offended by that? Raising money but not willing to talk about issues?" Smith asked. Said Obama: "I think we came down here one time, I think for a day, after that rule was passed, because we already had a series of things that were scheduled. But we weren't actively fundraising here." That might come as news to some of the folks who attended a $1,000-per-person fundraiser Obama attended at the home of Tim and Donna Main in St. Petersburg on Sept. 30, or to the 200-plus guests who donated $1,000 apiece to hear Obama make a brief speech at the home of David and Lisa Grain in Sarasota on Nov. 5. Sept. 30, 2007, Obama appeared at private fundraisers at ho
