I'm sure it was used deliberately for effect, but I still wish you had not started your article with the pronoun, "it".

I wish this idea was around some 19 years ago it would have been great to have for my daughter when she was born 7 1/2 weeks early.The first 10 dyas she was laying around in only a diaper because of the tubes.

I think she is awesome and makes great clothes. We got some of her clothes donated to us (from her) when our quintuplets were in the hospital and they worked (and looked) great.

I have used her clothes for several of my preemies and am very grateful for her. Not only for in the hospital for when they get home also. Preemies are so special, I am glad that someone FINALLY filled that void. THANK YOU!!!

I got goosebumps when I read this. What a wonderful thing to do for parents and preemies. Now I really want to learn to sew!

Our first daughter was born 3 months early. My wedding ring went up her arm to her shoulder. She looked like a little frog in her incubator without clothes. She weighed 2.5 lbs. at birth and went down to 2 lbs. and stayed that way for three weeks. It wasn't until we made some soft tiny jackets to put on her that could be opened for monitors, that she started gainign weight. In fact we could put it almost to the hour she started wearing clothes. The first day we got to hold her was Easter 1992. We put her in a yellow doll dress I had made. After that day she was one her way and her wardrobe started growing too. I was a wonderful revelation and our neo-natal unit has continued to clothe preemies since. Today our daughter is 16, and continues to have a major clothes fetish.

What an amazing task and service you provide!! My son was born 15 weeks early (weighing 1' 13") and spent the first several weeks wearing only a diaper. When he was able to be dressed, everything he wore not only swallowed him, but was challenging to manuver with the tubes ...even when he came home at 4 pounds, the supposed "preemie" clothes dwarfed him. Everything in your story is so very similar to ours.....thank you for doing what you do!!

My baby sister was so small at birth we had to buy a little teddy bear from the gift shop and steal the clothes off it so she would have something to wear. She didn't survive, but we still have the bear and the clothes. I think it is awesome they are making clothes for these poor infants so they don't have to dress in their stuffed animal's clothing.

Our first son was born 30 years ago weighing only 2 pounds. We live in a rural area and he had to be transported to the nearest neonatal unit 100 miles away. We would visit him once a week on Sunday's. He only wore a tiny diaper until he was able to come home 3 months later at 5 pounds. It would of been so nice to have him dressed in little outfits! My grandma made him little flannel gowns with drawstrings for him to wear until he grew into his sleepers once he came home. My preemie grew up strong and healthy and now has the nerve to complain that he weighs 200 pounds! I could not of imagined that 30 years ago! Wonderful story and God Bless Debbie.
