I totally believe this. We have seen this play out in our family. Our dog is anxious and jumpy around loud music, but when she sees us head to the piano she's right there. She is our best audience for piano practice. She also loves the violin, but I think the cello is her favorite instrument. She would be so close to my daughter that she hardly dared move her feet while she practiced her cello! She does like quiet music from a CD, but she likes live music the best.
Our golden retriever mix loves sitting in the middle of our blues band rehearsal -- the drums don't even seem to bother him. Go figure!
Every time I sing opera my chihuahua literally sings along, it's so wild!!! My aunt has a video of it, I should get it from her and post it on you tube or something.
