Rather than attacking the messenger I would like to read some discussion on the issues he raises.

My personal thoughts are that when people do not want to discuss the issues it is common place to degrade and demonize the messager.

This occurs both here on KSL.com and in the political spectrum. I find it disappointing.

We ought to be able to articulately defend our positions with out the personal attacks. If we have to resort to personal attacks perhaps we ought not to post.

I wonder if the personal attacks which seem so common are a smoke screen that maybe we do not want to discuss certain issues.

Since my post is the first one let's limit the name calling and focus more on the issues he has raised.

Lots of love.

What could be more honorable than to be attacked by the Bush Administration's spin machine. If he's wise, McClellan will make sure their response gets into his obituary (after a long life). It tops being on Nixon's "enemies list".

The White House is unaccustomed to hearing the "truth."

Why didn't Scott raise these issues while in the White House? Because he's not dumb, that's why.

Scott left the White House, made his financial condition secure, and THEN he let loose this telling barrage of truth. If he had done it while in the White House, he would have been quickly blackballed and unable to find any position that would support him. Good for Scott McClellan! I hope his book makes him a millionaire!

People have short memories when walking into the voting both. I hope this book makes the guy some serious dough. Right now he doesn't have a job and I hope this helps him out. The book should have come out about 1 week before the general election instead of 5 months ahead of time. This administration is the worst in history, they make Nixon look like a good guy. The true evil one is the Vice Pres. Anyone notice his name in the headlines these days? Nor have you seen him out fundraising for the GOP, he is pure poison. I hope the GOP pays dearly for all their misdeeds come Nov election

There seems to be a huge gap between having the integrity to express your opinions when they might contribute to solutions or do some good and slinging mud after it's all over and all it does is leave those involved dirty!

The Bush administration has been puzzled and sad since the first day they took over the White House.

with this information out now in the general public, I bet more speaking assignments are in the making in the near future at $60.000.00 to $ 100.000.00 a pop. He is already a millionaire in the making...

This purging by an individual is so fascinating.

It happens with such regularity that we should coin a phrase for it. Confessions?

And then there is this shooting of the messenger instead of reading the message.

The man came clean. His conscience was bothering him. He decided that he might meet his maker someday and he did not want to be caught short.

So he confesses.

And they rush to shoot the messenger, to discredit him, to... eradicate the thinker and truth teller.

Why is that? I do not know but somewhere in Shakespeare it must be explained. Must get out The Bard tonight and read him again.

The Shadow Knows.
