How about the "Money Pit"?

So is "Pioneer Crossing Blvd." the new name? If so, this article didn't make it very clear.

How about the, "we are happy to get Saratoga Springs and Eagle Mountain out of our city road"

This reminds me of a Simpsons episode.....

Principal Skinner (on the school's PA system): All student please proceed immediately to an assembly in the Butthead Memorial Auditorium.....(mutters to himself) I never should have let the students pick the name.......

The "Money Pit" is taken. That is my name for Lehi Center Street where my gas money goes to idling and polluting the town of Lehi. That city--if you can call it that--doesn't know what's best for them. An alternative to Lehi main is way overdue. Progression bypasses Lehi altogether.

Wasn't UDOT considering three East-West Routes from Saratoga Springs (through Lehi) to I-15? Their study suggested that the 2100 North would only affect 30-40 homes and 10-20 acres of wetlands as opposed to any other alternative which would be twice the impact or more. The three options were:

2100 North
1900 South
A few Arterials

Is Pioneer Crossings Boulevard part of the arterial solution? Good to hear something is being done as soon as this Fall. What is happening to a 2100 North plan, though. Lehi has been against that plan, even though it is clearly the most reasonable solution and the only real solution at this point to fill the need that will exist by 2030. Think future people like you should have done to avoid present problems.

The bottomline is homes and wetlands will be affected no matter what, but how much? Pollution overall will be reduced with Main street freed up, anyway. Traffic in Lehi is horrendous; there is no avoiding the need for another roadway. This is a no-brainer and should have been done long ago. Thank you UDOT. No thanks, Lehi.

Nevermind, I found my answer.

Pioneer Crossings Boulevard is independent from the 2100 North connector that UDOT is leaning toward. As far as I'm concerned both East-West Connectors will serve a needed purpose. Can't wait!

Projected Constructions:

Pioneer Crossings Boulevard: Fall '08 to Fall '10
2100 North Connector: Spring '09 to Spring '11
