Please--That photo of Larry whispering to Fisher is
just too much. Evidently Miller doesn't care that Fisher made a fool of him, along with others and betrayed the Jazz fans. It's just too much.

re: should've taken CP3??? | 9:31 a.m. May 20, 2008
What was that you were saying about CP3 taking out the Spurs?

CP3 disappeared in the 4th quarter. He let Janero Pargo take over, or at least try. Did not work. Lets see, CP3 and David West got you to game 7 against the Spurs, so you give the ball to Pargo in the 4th quarter of game 7??? CP3 ought to have his head examined and Byron Scott ought to be fired for such incompetence.

CP3 is very talented BUT he is absolutely poor defensively. Spurs just let him shoot jumpers--he missed. He also travels--ALOT!!!

Just "media" love for CP3.

Mark Stein, NBA analyst for ESPN, said just last Thursday on Jim Rome show "Paul gets all the media love but BASED ON WHAT I HAVE HEARD I would not be suprised if THE MAJORITY OF GM's IN BASKETBALL WOULD STILL CHOOSE DERON WILLIAMS OVER CHRIS PAUL, TODAY, if given the chance."

GM's know more about basketball than the "panel of media members" that vote for the MVP.

Deron vs. Lakers

22.3pts 11.5 assts 44%-3pt% 2.83-TO's

CP3 vs. Spurs

23.7pts 10.7 assts 20%-3pt% 2.29 TO's

Deron is not too bad.

I don't understand what the buzz is with Fesenko. He is a young raw Euro. Young raw Euros don't step up and play right away. Yeah, he does well in the D-League, but it's the D-League people. I really don't see him being the answer. As for Millsap, well, doesn't Ginobli come off the bench for the Spurs to provide sparks and changes of pace? Give the Paperboy his money, and make him the unquestionable 6th man of the year. I like this team, don't blow it up. People who have Almond and Korver in their starting lineups think that that will improve our defense? Bull. I bet the Jazz win it all once out of the next two years, which will be a painful irony because I'll be out on a mission in Ukraine.

When you are here you will understand this buzz about Kyrylo.
Jazz Fan | 10:52 a.m. May 20, 2008
Thank goodness Larry Miller's professionals run this organization.

If the fans ran the show this team would never make the playoffs.

This team as it stands is one of the best 6 in the NBA and can improve.

Better this nucleus stays for awhile.

I AGREE!! WILLIAMS, MILLSAP AND BREWER ARE THE FUTURE OF OUR JAZZ! HOWEVER, I WOULD ALSO WANT TO KEEP AK AND DITCH BOOZER.

I CAN'T WAIT TIL NEXT SEASON! THANK YOU BOYS FOR GIVING IT A GOOD RUN THIS YEAR!!!

Williams is good but 80 million I wouldnt give that
to him.. I would get rid of Sloan though. Williams
makes bad decisions at crucial times during games
and turns the ball over way too much. 50 to 60 million that seems more resonable....Jimmy Z
once again says Fire Sloan and we will be a fun
and exciting team to watch...Sloans time is over,
let the new beginning begin...Please management.

Correction: I would say the Jazz are one of the best 4 teams and possibly even 3.

We can beat any team in the East. We delivered Boston their biggest defeat of the season ON their own homecourt. They barely beat us here.

We have owned Detroit for years--check the W-L record.

The only teams that are better, marginally, are the Spurs and the Lakers. We are not far behind either one of them. Every Laker game was close, no blowouts. Check the blowouts in all the other series. We were VERY competitive with the team most view as the favorite to win it all.

I would have to agree with earlier comments--Almond and Fesenko will likely be role players but nonetheless we have some roles to fill here.

Fesenko needs to bust his tail this summer and get in shape to be able to endure the rigors of an NBA season. He has no clue at this point. That said he is a very mobile 7 footer who can block shots and has some energy. Adjusting to the speed of the NBA and him fouling too much will be the factors that determine his success. Almond?? Can he defend???
D-will is the Jazz MVP | 3:53 p.m. May 20, 2008
Deron Williams is the heart and soul of the Jazz, I also thought that D-Will established that with his performance in the playoffs last yr. when everyone but him seemed to give up.
D-WILL is really the only untouchable player on the roster. You can build a franchise around a player like him. anyone else, in the right offer, is definetly tradeable. the only other PG's I'd accept over D-Will are CP3 or maybe Billups.
If you ask me, Booz really let us down. He should have been abusing Odom and Gasol inside, but he was the one getting abused usually. He really seems to be a pushover when things get tough...So dissapointed in his play. Either he must improve in the playoffs or the Jazz need to find someone else fast.

Boozer to be traded to Miami, Milsap starts....
Jazz Fan #2 | 4:03 p.m. May 20, 2008
Man Everyone is talking about Millsap and Boozer!!! What the Heck!! You are forgetting the one man that helped us get to where we got!!! KYLE KORVER!!!! Sure D Will is awesome!!! But when Korver is on the floor everyone has to worry about him!!!! He freaking amazing!!!! He is a hustler, shooter, and a down right great player!!!! D Will, Korver, and Millsap are the future. Boozer is good, but he needs to play a little in the post season!!!!! Let's keep the Jazz how they are for next season and then talk about trading. But mark my word!!!! Korver is the man!!!!
magnus | 4:14 p.m. May 20, 2008
I am goin gto predict that this summer the Jazz sit tight and not make any major moves.

Hart and Collins actually do have some trade value in that their contracts expire at the end of next year.

CJ isn't comming back. Almond should take his roster spot.

Fes is NOT the answer inside...yet.

The Jazz have to look at the very real possibility of Boozer and/or Okur opting out and leaving after next season, both of them are Max money players if they stay healthy. I think if Millsap continues to develop as a player and gets a 15-18ft Jumper he could be a better player than Boozer, but that's a big if.

Here's what I think the Jazz priorities should be this offseason.

1) Sign Williams
2) Get a good defensive backup PF/C in free agency, there are a couple of good ones out there.
3) Shop AK, but don't give him away, and look to include Hart and/or Collins in the deal.

re:Jimmy Z | 4:55 p.m. May 20, 2008

Ya, offer D-Will 50-60 million--I am sure he will realize that since he is only one of the two premier point guards in the game that he only deserves that amount. I suspect he will stay here anyway for the SLC night life and endorsements.

Maybe you should review the Chris Paul vs, D-Will playoff stats. There is negligible difference--D-Will better in some categories and CP3 better in others. It is basically a wash.

Letting a player of his calibre leave to the free agent market would DOOM any franchise. Let me guess--we should have Hart take his place??

What ridiculous statements. Your basketball IQ is subhuman.
jaxs | 5:11 p.m. May 20, 2008
Remember there was a very young player 10 years a go who use to make mistakes and miss big shots when the game was on the line, those mistakes made him into the player he is today. That player is one whom we utarians love to Hate Kobe Bryant.

I remember watching Kobe missing those big shots and thinking he may miss these shots now but give him time and he wil be a star. so the next time someone wants to dis on D Williams remember the mistakes he makes now will only make him better.
Re: jaxs | 5:39 p.m. May 20, 2008
I completely agree with you. Sometimes fans expect so much in so little time. Kobe Bryant is a perfect example of how a player will make mistakes when they are new to the playoff stage. Kobe worked extremely hard and now he is one of the most feared players on the planet.

I think the key will be for Boozer to not let this affect him to the point where he gets worse. He needs to be more aggressive than ever before next season and he will be okay. He needs to ignore the comments from people who only love him when he is doing good but hate him once he struggles.

I am a Lakers fan and I stick with my team through thick and thin. The only Laker I haven't liked has been Kwame Brown and I can tell you right now that Boozer is no Kwame! So keep your head up Booz because you will be okay.
Garrett | 4:03 p.m. May 21, 2008
I love some of these posts. Fez is the answer!!! Milsap should start!!! Milsap won't be here after next year because he will get an offer that the Jazz can't match. He is not a starter! AK will be traded for crap. That is the only way we can unload that contract and open up space for D-Will and perhaps a contract extension for Boozer. It is all about Williams, and perhaps Booze. If we got a great offer for Memo, he would be gone, but he is most likely the 3rd part of the trinity that will be the Jazz building block. Now, get over it, people. We will not be trading Collins, Hart or Harpring for anyone significant that will improve this team. The best we can hope for is that they will be packaged to either clear cap space or get a different role player that will fit in with our system. Live in reality, people. These AK and crap for Lebron type of scenarios just make you sound dumb...
neil | 1:28 a.m. May 22, 2008
they do not need to make any big trades. This ball club was good enough to win it all this year. Kobe and the refs just would not allow LA to lose. Some of the great teams to win a title took a few years to get things going. Sometime the best trades are the ones you dont make. Keep Deron as long as you can and give Booz another shot. If Booz chokes again, well then maybe we can start talking trade.
Garrett | 1:48 p.m. May 22, 2008
Anytime you make a trade involving a max player, it will be considered a "big trade", and that is exactly what the Jazz should, and probably will, do this off-season. We won't get much of anything in return unless we get as lucky as Chicago got in the draft lottery. So...a 1.6% chance to get lucky. Or, if we don't trade the 1st round pick this year, maybe that's where we get lucky. I don't count on it. I only count on the Jazz maturing and learning how to play all 4 quarters, not just the last 3.
SAM DOG KNOWS ALL | 11:32 p.m. May 24, 2008
WELL its time to make some changes -- first trade Harpring, Collins, and Boozer in a deal for a Power Forward and small good shooting rookie. Second replace Sloan who cant get past Jackson or spurs Coach in playoffs. He has gotten to slow to think fast enough to keep up with the game. A great replacement would be Hornacek -- After all he is good with the jazz defense and is able to think quickly and loves the faster game and 3 pointer. New School so to speak. Good future 5 squad would be
PG Deron WIlliams--To be anounced later
SG Almond -- Brewer
SF Milsap -- Korver
PF Okur -- AK47
C FES 2nd string -- This years draft at Center (Hibbier

There is a reason "Fez" is in the D-League. Jazz Fans, stop embarrassing yourself with talk that "Fez" wouldn't let Gasol run over him. Gasol is way too long, quick and smart for "Fez". I thought drugs were illegal in Utah. Please, put this stiff in the Jazz starting line-up like some of you suggest. The West will get one team weaker.
