Federal and state courts should not be passing or restricting laws protecting product manufacturers and large corporations from liability and responsibilty. Any individual has the right to proclaim and ask for compensation for faulty, dangerous, for safety and health risk products. Government agency's are ineffetive to protect the public and the courts are the only avenue of recovery for damages caused by manufacturers or importers of faulty and dangerous products for the individuals. Individuals have the same right to recover as the manufacturers have to produce and sell. One of Utahs laws that should be struck down is the Right to Work law. It is a law protecting business from all responsibilty to its employees in safety, security, and especially paying fair wages. This law also limits and restricts employee's from disclosing unfair and illegal employer acts against its workers. Arbitration and long term stalling by corporations should be struck down and all claims settled within one year of filing. Arbitration can take decades to settle in hopes that the victims die before settleing claims, and corporations count on it.

I hope the Utah Legislature will think of this before they pass laws that have the potential of a "substantial, detrimental impact" on local municipalities.

Ditto about education. They have become the "super school board" over-riding local boards in spite of their claim to value "local control."
