On one hand, I feel sorry for this guy. He sounds well-intentioned and he was only acting the way he was taught. On the other hand, if your partner is not consenting, it does not matter WHAT your prophet says.

This case would be exactly one of the factors behind the TX CPS claims of why kids are at risk at YFZ. Unfortunately, guys who are brought up to think their prophet's views are more important than their partner's are rape cases waiting to happen.

More power to Elssia's book. I hope it hurts the trial for the better. We don't want to see this FLDS deviate on the loose any longer. At least she is not a LIAR like are all the FLDS men.

If there is any outrage, it should be over the legal system charging the defendant with only one count of rape. Are all of the other acts of rape freebies?

While Elisa Wall won't get justice in criminal court, she will attain justice through the publication of her book and perhaps through the civil court, which tends not to favor criminals. I've got to hand it to Elisa for working out her own healthy system of justice.

By the way, Elisa and her husband did a great job on Oprah. They were very credible which will be very important in both of these court cases.

Good for Elissa Wall. We stand behind her and her book. She was never lying as is her ex-polygamist husband. SO WHAT if her book speaks the truth and it messes up his trial. SUPER!

Warren Jeffs is a pedophile. And Steed had no right to coerce or pressure a tenn into sex. The "marriage" wasn't even legal. He's just as bad as Jeffs.

Can you say "mistrial"?

Her book can only speak her truth. Her does not speak for the FDLS women in Texas. Being born into a sect which once allowed illegal activities to take place does not give the state of Texas the right to abuse your children in their atrocious foster care system and give your babies away to other people.

I've read a few books on this topic. My feelings are that this is a group of pediophiles that use religion as a front

This has to make us all appreciate the court system. At least we all dress in suits and argue in a civilized manner. Time was that a situation like this would play out in the streets. I really believe that both Elisa and Allen have points that make their side of the story valid. I would hate to be the judge.
