Hornets went up on the Spurs last night 3-2 a Jazz win tonight would bring us
home to put it away in 6 a loss would end the Jazz season I believe i do not
feel we can beat L.A. on their homecourt in game 7 so win tonight or we are done

I agree that the Jazz have to win tonight. It is a must. Game 7 in LA would be
next to impossible. Also as shown in the regular season the Jazz can beat the
Hornets in a series. I feel a lot more comfortable playing the Hornets then the
Spurs, but to even think about the next round Boozer needs to play ball. He
really needs to step up and help "HIS" team win tonight!!

Hornets in the Western Conference finals, A team that we CAN beat on the

Look for the Jazz to continue their road woes tonight! LA needs to prove it can
win on the road again - Lakers 4-2. Admittedly the Jazz looked very good - but
they barely slipped away twice on their home floor. Not good enough for the

Winning in LA after losing the first two games there, is a daunting
task--statistically speaking. It is very difficult to do--ask the World
Champion Spurs after, losing in New Orleans last night.
That said I think Deron is our player to get us over the hump--we have a better play-maker than they do and he is figuring their defense out.
We all know they call it homecourt advantage for a reason and we will have to be ALOT better than the Lakers tonight to win the game.
We have got to be aggressive going to the basket and initiating contact--we have to get to the line and force the refs to make a call. Getting to the line will stall Laker momentum and runs. Our bench has to give us a lift as well.
You know we will need a lead at the end of the game to have a chance to hold on.
I have been hard on Booz but he has been a good decoy for some big plays that were made by other players last game.
Go Jazz.

41-5? Seems wrong... haven't they won a couple of games at home during the
playoffs? They were 41-4 during the regular season. Am I missing something?
Jazz will have to be hitting on all cylinders to take game five.

I think a lot of misdirected criticism goes to Boozer for his game 4
performance. True he didn't post the numbers he did in game 3, but you
could tell LA had him marked, they were double teaming him constantly. D-will
did a great job using his other options. One of two things will happen. They
will either continue to double team boozer and leave someone open, or they will
go back to putting one guy on him, and we will see another 25+ point game from
him.

The first two games lacked Jazz offense of a Slashing Brewer, and a slashing
kirelenko for layups. It also lacked the cutting and curling of harpring, and
korver. Okur didn't take it to the hole either, and neither did boozer.
Williams needs to drive more, and then dish. That is what KOBE does, and then
everybody collapses, and you got a wide open Gasol.
The Jazz can win game 7 easier than the game tonight. the Fakers no they are done if they lose tonight at the boring dark Staples. Turn the lights on so you can see the fans. Thats why its hard for the Fakers to play in Utah is because our arena is not Dark.

have looked good at times. Remember that the 2 games in LA were down to 4 or 5
point games in the final few minutes of each game. The Lakers just pulled away
in both. Both games in Utah were close as well. It's not like either the
Jazz or the Lakers are blowing away the other. A few lucky bounces tonight and
the Jazz CAN win. On the flip side, a few lucky bounces in game 6 and the
Lakers CAN win.
I think L.H. Miller should have written into Derek Fisher's release documents that he is not allowed to play against the team that so graciously released him if he were to meet the Jazz in the playoffs. He just about killed his former team in the 4th quarter of the last game. Here's to him getting into foul trouble again....hopefully!

I hate to say it, but I agree with "LA LAKER MAN" at 9:22 AM, at least
as far as the game goes tonight. I think this one is a W for the Lakers.
However, I think the Jazz will take care of business back in SLC on Friday. I
disagree with some comments above that game 7 is impossible in LA. I think the
Jazz would have a much better chance in a game 7 than they do tonight because
anything can happen in a game 7. I hope I'm wrong and the Jazz win tonight
and wrap it up at home in game 6, but don't count on it.

The statistics and, under normal conditions, logic support your theory. Also this is about the time when the Jazz often decide to phone one in on the road.
Unfortunately for the Lakers I think the normal rules don't apply and here's why:
1) The Jazz aren't going to phone this one in, I hope.
2) Kobe is hurt. No matter how many Jazz fans think he is faking it or how many Laker fans think even at 80% Kobe is better than everybody else on the court, the fact reamins that Kobe is hurt. If this were the regular season he would be sitting for 2-3 weeks at least, but he is going to play and he'll probably be pretty good but he won't be MVP good.
3) The Jazz have been here before. The way to beat the Jazz is to beat them down early, like SA did last year. if the Lakers had won game 4 this series would be over tonight, but they didn't, and the longer this Jazz team hangs around the tougher they get.

I think Utah would be my favorite team even if I didn't live here. Why?
Because each player cares more about winning that statistics. Because each
player hustles and realizes that defense is where big games are won. Because
Utah has players who are offensive threats inside as well as good outside
shooters. Because Utah has a long-time coach who has the full support of his
owner, which prevents prima donna players from hijacking the team. Because
Deron Williams deserves All Star status, which rejection causes him to play all
that much smarter and harder. Because Utah has bench players who don't
pout about playing time and instead support their teammates in interviews and by
playing full out when they get their minutes. Because Giricek no longer plays
here. Because Korver and Momo can light things up in seconds. Because Utah
does more with second round draft choices (underdogs) than any other team I
know. Because Utah has assistant coaches that could be successful head coaches
but do not seek the limelight. Because Utah has gained the respect of national
commentators. Because Utah has recovered from losing two Top 50 players of all
time in record time. Go Jazz.

play with intensity at the very start..If they do

As much as Jazz won in Utah. All those pushing and holding that Jazz did in Utah
will now be called for fouls in Los Angeles. This series may go to 7 games with
Lakers winning if all home teams win.

This is a big game, not only for this series but overall. I'm predicting
that whoever wins tonight will win the series and whoever wins this series will
take home a championship. I pick Jazz or lakers over Hornets or Spurs, and I
think that whoever comes out of the East is going to get trounced by the Western
Conference champ.

You guys already looking forward to playing the Hornets or the Spurs really need
to stop!! Umm, hello...the Lakers/Jazz series is tied 2-2!! And furthermore,
Boozer won't be able to get away with all the pushing and shoving that he
does in SLC...that's why he stayed in foul trouble the first two games of
the series. It should be a hard fought game tonight, but the Lakers will
prevail.

The Lakers twice dropped close games on the road. That may be worse than
getting blown out. The Lakers also blew 2 big leads at home too. A
championship team finds ways to win close games especially on the road. If you
think the Lakers are going to win the championship you got another thing coming.

My two cents... Kobe will shoot 20+ free throws tonight the Lakers 40+ while the
Jazz will shoot under 20. Stern's refs will look to take Booz, Williams,
or Okur out quickly with foul trouble. The NBA frustrates me to no end.
It's going to take a special game to win tonight. I sure hope I'm

My worry, Kobe is such a primadona that he could
be trying to duplicate Jordan, and enhance his legacy
by beating the Jazz with a sore back. One of the
ESPN commentators was saying how Kobe is watching

The way the Hornets are playing right now I think you would have to be a fool to
be looking forward to playing them. The playoffs have been awesome so far,
especially as a Jazz fan, because it seems like every game has been a battle.
It's hard for me as an emotionaly invested fan to not to feel fatigued by
the thought of needing to fight for two more wins against a great Lakers team
just to have to go on to what will probably be another 6-7 game series against
the Spurs or the Hornets, so I honestly can't imagine the toll it takes on
the players.
But the good news is that given the way Boston has been imploding and Billups being hobbled by a Hamstring injury, I honestly feel like any of the four teams left in the west could take any team that comes out of the East. If the Pistons get healthy and demolish the Celtics I may change my tune but for now no matter how it ends up I'm taking the West in 5.

As much as I am a Jazz fan, i really think that we would have lost Game 4 had Kobe not been slowed down by his back. We did get a W and that is what matters but when it comes to reality the Laker team is the superior one and if HEALTHY (and that without Andrew Bynum) they will take this series

A pretty good reason why Utah won both those games is because M. Okur was hot
and wide open most of the time and draining shots like he should. Gasol would
not leak out and guard him on the perimeter. Okur is a streaky player and may
not be getting the open shots he had and may not make the shots when he's
open for the next 2 games. That is the difference in the first 2 games and the
last 2 games.

the Finals...Can you imagine the hype the NBA will

To the 2 of you that said winning a game 7 would be next to impossible I
question that. How is winning 4 games in a row anymore likely than winning a
game 7 in L.A. win or lose tonight I believe the Jazz will hold serve in game 6,
so I believe the Jazz can win in 6 or 7, but so can the Lakers. Two great teams
going at it. GO JAZZ! We all hate L.A.

Isn't it ironic that Kobe, Phil and the rest of the Lakers talk about
"no excuses" when it comes to losing the last game and then we are
subject to three days of constant whining about how sore Kobes back is? Is that
not the very definition of an excuse? If you suit up I don't want to hear
another peep about the bad back! The Lakers are using that as a fallback so if
they lose everybody will know the reason.

Did you know that all the Jazz do are "Push and Shove" or "Hold
and Grab". Seriously, Laker fans need a different set of catch phrases to
describe the Jazz. Whoever in the media decided to start emphasizing those two
things need to be fired. Guess what, every team in the NBA tries to get away
with holding and grabbing and pushing and shoving. In fact, in one game in LA,
when a member of the Jazz got called for a moving screen on Fisher, guess what
the replay showed him doing? Yep, he had a handful of Williams Jersey.
It's dirty play. It's typicall NBA Basketball. Find any advantage you
can get. Sometimes you get caught and called for it. Especially if your
guarding Kobe Bryant or any other established star.

outplayed. They will blame it on Kobe's back, the officiating, the Jazz

I gotta agree with my jazz die hards. Get rid of Boozer. We could have had that
game last night, despite the refs horrible calls. The game was ours to win but
they crumpled under the pressure.
Who would take boozer? Probably a lot of low level teams who would be willing to part with a lot of good young talent.
