Well good for Cutler, but I still freaked out when I saw him come in for Morales. Fortunately his nice pass to Williams which resulted in Beckerman's goal was a nice addition.
Lets hope its a start of a new version of Cutler.

I have always been a fan of Kenny Cutler because he comes in and plays a solid game, never complains, and knows what it means to play his position with respect to the other positions on the field. He doesn't make a big fuss like some of the diva's in the league about playing time, and is just an all around solid player. Have you noticed how he is able to play without fouling every five seconds? I am not even sure if he has gotten a yellow card before? Plain and simple, he plays good clean soccer.

The great thing about the team this year is the rare luxury to have so much depth on the bench. While some might see the loss of Carrey Talley as a questionable trade with his experience in the league, there seems to be a much wiser Jason Kries who sees that there would be no gap due to Talley's leaving with Kenny Cutler there to take his place.

I hope to see him more.

I have to snicker when I think of a defensive midfield with Nagamura or Marsch or Talley.
What is Chivas thinking? Do they only plan on seeing slow offensive teams? Atiba may be their most athletic option for that spot, we know how that goes...

Kenny Cutler, the man of a thousand negative passes, actually completed one of the few positive passes in his career and it led to a goal. Amazing, but true. However, to have him be one of our holding midfielders?.....you've got to be kidding me. Are we in a budget crunch where where Cutler is more valuable than Talley? Cutler doesn't defend until the opposing runs into him. He constantly gives enough space where the opposition can do whatever they want to in his area. What position did he play last Saturday? Rover?...because he consistantly was late getting to the ball or confused where he ends up running over the top of his own teammate and gives them a great opportunity to set up a scoring opportunity. Maybe this is something to consider...pick up a real player and use that designated player slot. We just may be able to make the playoffs instead of hoping that our foreign second division players will pull us through. Let's open up that wallet, afterall there seems to be no problem increasing the ticket prices yearly, eventhough we've gotten nothing for that priviledge. No play-offs, no ticket increases. Remember that for 2009!!

In response to AreUSerious I am unaware of any player on RSL or any other team for that matter who hasn't had their share of bad passes including the often hero-worshiped Blanco. What makes a great player is that you make the passes when they count. You even admitted that Cutler did that this game. We have done a fair amount of loosing with Talley at the helm. Keeping him around near the end of his career with all the injuries he is having is not only a sound move, but I wonder what Chivas is smoking to want another poor result creating RSL player on their team.

Additionally Cutler was part of a very successful reserve team for RSL. That didn't happen in spite of him. This is his chance to get some time back on the main roster and develop. Agreed, Cutler will probably never be the guy to rival a player like Beckerman for team leadership, but that is okay. I still think he is a solid 'rover' and am excited to see some positive young talent get some time and prove that they were worth the risk.
