Gasol is a great talent, but he cannot create his own shot in the paint. That is why he was so unsuccessful leading his team as the #1 option with the Grizzlies.
He had one up and under move in game 2 and a fadeaway jumper on the baseline in game 3. Other than that, his points have been off of hustle plays in transition, or off of amazing passes from Kobe and the rest.
Memo can play Gasol straight up.
Gasol says as poorly as the Lakers played they were still right there to win it. However, I do not believe the Jazz played their best game either. We have seen Williams have much better games although I thought he had a solid game, we have seen Korver play better, we have seen Brewer and Millsap play better and so I think the key for today is going to be obviously Boozer, Williams and Okur bring it, but Kirilenko needs to contribute again like he did, and Korver, Millsap, Brewer or Harpring needs to dig down and have a great night. You know L.A. will make adjustments so we have got to have some guys step up. If the Jazz win tonight, they have a great chance at winning this series especially since outside of Kobe and Fisher they don't have a lot of guys used to all this pressure. The Jazz were just there last year. Come on Jazz, dig down deep and let's get this one.
Of course the Lakers didn't have their best game, and fought back.
Oh wait, that's what the Jazz did the first two games. The point swing and star performance in these three games has been remarkably similar - one team taking a lead into the forth quarter the other team fighting back to within a hairsbreadth and then, losing.
