Kobe's "pass" looked like a shot that was way off to me. Isnt throwing it off the backboard a travel?
But, he IS Kobe.

Won't Happen

I love the Jazz but I'm a realist! The Jazz had to have their best game in order to win. Many of the Lakers had off nights and were still in the game with three minutes to go. I expect the Lakers to take game the game today and go on to win it next game in Cali. Our best years will be next two years.

RE:Phenom

You know as well I know it was a pass and so does everyone else, are you that jaded you can't even accept reality. And no throwing it off the back board is not a travel, dude give it up. Your already bracing for the fall!.

A Realist

PRO basketball is too flakey to get so uptight in it. It redminds me of the current political hub bub with the Democrate party. It stricks me as all being settled before it begin. Where there is Big Money, there is politics. How many free throws do the Lakers take compared with the Ja(xx) ? Yet the Lakers continued to take time out for no other reason than to dig the flesh out from inunder their fingernails. Which of the Ref's have money bet on a specfic game this year. Phooy to it all!!!!

Re:Re Phenom

How does everyone else know it was a pass?

JoBoy

How does everyone else know it was a pass?

Because that maneuver is an old street-ball stunt. I've done it myself and I am definitely no Kobe.

wow

Look up the rules on traveling, it clearly states that once a player shoots he can not grab his own rebound unless the ball his another player, the rim, or the backboard.

Re:Re:Re;

Even Laker haters at the game said it was a pass off the backboard. Seveal of my friends who are the biggest Laker haters in the valley said it was one of the coolest plays they had ever seen. They despise Kobe but their men enough to give the guy his due.

he traveled

Yeah, as an ex-referee, that is traveling. Just one more instance of the refs star gazing abilities.

traveler

Kobe has more talent than probably anyone who ever played. However,I am so glad he plays for the Lakers.
That play off the backboard was right off the playground at recess.

Gametime

Who cares?

I swore off pro basketball, football, and baseball TV about a decade ago. I got too tired of million-dollar athletes with dime-brains. I'll read a story occasionally, but that's all. Any time I hear of a smart player, I figure it must be someone who managed to graduate. When they start making serious contributions to society and not just cashing a fat paycheck, I might care. Until then, I hope the Jazz lose so the bozos in my office can get back to work, and the DNews can pay attention to bicycle racing and the upcoming Olympics.
