It is not necessairly true that it is easy to locate a meeting because not everyone has access to a computer or smart phone at all times.
Several years ago in Fresno, CA I called 20 Wards, Several Stake Offices & a couple Seminaries listed in the phone book without any answers. I asked at the motel,the resturant and even at the fire station if they even knew of a Mormon I could call. The answer was none.
Had I not been a member of the Church, I would have given up.
One of the suggestions I received was, "Isn't there some general number you could call in Salt Lake or something?" With our modern ability to use call forwarding etc., that could be a wonderful calling for individuals that were perhaps handicapped and couldn't fill other assignments, but could help people "look up" information using these new tools.
