I think it is coach Corbin who needs to learn a lesson after back to back
losses, there was plenty of energy and hustle when the 2nd team was in there and
Josh Howard has been playing like garbage since he came back from the injured
list, meanwhile he's playing him like hes 6th man. Jazz Source, it's
not the shooting coaches fault, it's the fault of the GM and Coaches who keep
coming up with people that can't shoot. It's very rare that a player can be
taught to shoot from outside when they don't have a few basic outside skills.
Here is the lesson they ought to have learned.1. Their supposed
"shooting coach" name Hornacek should be fired. The best 3 point % is
.365 and the majority are shooting below 30%. That is abysmal.2. If
they don't trade for someone quick to get some outside shooting they will be in
next seasons lottery and their tickets will be selling on Groupon. Mark my
words.3. Devin Harris continues to be awful and could not set up a
lemonade stand let alone one of his team mates.
When energy & effort is needed we have 2 players who ride the pine
consistently whom I believe could deliver that, How about some PT for Burks
& Evans, and throw in Tinsley Ty?
Talking effort all the time is fine, but there are at least two Jazz players who
get lots of minutes and rarely play good defense. You know who they are; they
are the ones who get close to an opponent with the ball and act like a
near-blind pickpocket, poking with their hands. We simply need more of Kanter,
more of Favors, and more of Burks. Sure all three make their share of mistakes,
but all three can play some good defense. And Burks may be the only Jazzman who
can, more often than not, stay between the ball and the basket guarding a swift
