This whole family has a really skewed perspective.
I donât care how bad you think the âsystemâ is broke and how unfair you think you were treated, or even if you like the decision that was made. Josh Powell made a horrendous choice to coldly murder two innocent and precious lives, it was nothing but greed and embarrassment on his part. Sadly, we may never know what Josh did with Susan she deserves better than where he dumped her, if he would butcher his two boys then desecrate their bodies with fire then there is no doubt that he took the life of his wife.
Rest in peace little ones and Susan.
PS....I want to write something here where I hope Josh is burning but I better not.
The evil that produced this tragedy was contained entirely within the mind of one person -- Josh Powell.
No disingenuous spin or psychobabble sophistry can ever change that.
Portraying Powell as victim, rather than mephistophelean perpetrator, amounts to nothing more than a cynical attempt to diminish his guilt, his family's trusting innocence, and society's right to expect him to conform to the rules of civilized life.
I'm waiting for the first report that Josh Powell had been taking SSRIs.
Classic adverse reaction to them.
Sad,
this didn't need to happen.
While media witch hunts are a very real and devastating thing, this was not the case of Josh Powell. We can only be grateful that here, journalism did what it does best-reports disturbing events so that we don't become complacent with the evil in our world. Throughout the past two years, we have heard about ridiculous middle-of-the-night camping trips with toddlers in freezing temperatures. We have a seen a husband who did not look for his wife, did not express sorrow, but instead found many ways to stymie the investigation and defame her character. He did not allow any of her family to ever see the boys. He lived and supported (not just honored) a father who was involved in child pornography among other things. Lastly, he brutally murders his children.
I am grateful for the media that rallies us together as a community to cry foul-the silver lining of this horrible evil is that for now, it is not welcomed or ignored. I'm also grateful for a police staff who recognizes "oddities", and investigates, investigates and investigates some more until they find the truth.
I certainly wouldn't admit that I was related to Josh Powell, let alone defend him. At the very least he murdered two innocent children. How and why could you defend that person.
To the Leach's: Did you ever encourage Josh to tell the truth about what really happened the night that Susan disappeared?
Oh and by the way, Josh is NOT the victim here.
Josh had choices in his life, his children did not. We all know who the true victims were.
RIP Charlie, Braden and Susan.
Josh has earned his place in hell.
