It's true, Mr. Obama often strikes an awed, self-effacing pose in the presence of technicians, scientists and high tech machinery and even robots to flying marshmallows. But that's not half as bad as Newt still wants to build a 5 star resort yet on the moon, and for security guards do more research and then development for "star wars." All the geeks Obama talks with are "UNION" people, if you noticed. On the other side of the coin, Newt just bows down to K Street and Wall Street Corporate sneakiness, outright-scams and con-games, Koch Brother's and ReaganBushClintonBush-villes economics, deregulated for kickbacks for the Koch Brothers and Grover Norquist, in their "Field Of Dreams," (of corn and sugar cane), with more corruption, and "crony capitalism" game of survivor. Who can lie, outlast and outwit to the end. So what's the difference?. Obama hosted the second White House Science Fair, an exhibit of more than 30 student projects that ranged from a system to detect nuclear threats to a prosthetic hand to portable disaster shelters. That's more then Newt did before he got run out of Washington DC on a rail. Both are still spending.

At least these technicians, scientists and high tech machinery and even robots to flying marshmallows are working. In Florida, where (official) unemployment was last reported just below 10%, nearly 1/2 of all homes in Tampa Bay are underwater, and the economy is struggling after Hurricanes and Oil Spills, jobs are very hard to come by. And employers continue to fire workers not for cause but simply "BEcause." I do know people that have taken on restaurant jobs because they cant find work in their field and their unemployment checks have run out. We are all doing whatever it takes to survive this Recession as we hinge on the threat of a Global Depression with economic instability in Europe. Gingrich has said he doesn't want to pay the unemployed for doing nothing. I contend that the unemployed aren't just sitting around collecting unemployment checks they ARE looking for work and jobs that can help them pay their bills. I said to the former House Speaker that I WAS recently unemployed and I wasn't living high on the hog on those unemployment checks.
