Washburn has been relatively disappointing to me over his career. Boylen touted him as the best thing coming to Utah since Keith Van Horn and he's not turned into that. Of course Boylen's recruits never did turn out. Most of them left!

Washburn hasn't given up though and continues to play hard. He'll be a decent player along with a bunch of incoming talent Utah is lucky to have next season. Utah will have length galore next year with Foster 7-3 coming back, Jeremy Olson 6-11 coming off a missions, the SUU transfer at 7-0 coming off a mission, and of course Washburn who stands at 6-11 or 7-0.

I'm impressed with the way Krystkowiak has coached this year knowing it would be a bad one. He's got my vote of confidence for the future.

Th, Wash is actually 6'10" and Dallin Bachynski (SUU transfer) is 6'11" but we will have the longest front court in the conference next year, and that should translate into some tough D and good depth inside. Can't wait to have them along with proven D1 players Aaron Dotson and Glen Dean along with the incoming frosh likely to make an impact right away.

Nice game, Jason, with the 8 blocks. Keep working hard man. And congrats to Blake on the scholarship.

I can't help but wonder where he would be if he were coached by someone other than Boylen. Utah developed a pedigree of big men over the years with Van Horn Doleac et al, and that has been something that has gone missing in the Boylen era. Sounds like with Krysto's emphasis on defense and offensive style he will be developing big men and getting more depth at the position.
