Job not done? Tes, a few people still have jobs and all industries have not been nationalized.
Obama does not deserve re-election
He deserves nothing. He has failed. Elect someone who wants to do something besides socialism.
Obama says he "deserves" another term?
No. NO! N-O!
Obama himself said if he couldn't turn things around in one term then his administration "would be a one term deal".
What a croc!
Talk about the ultimate flip-flop.
The only thing Obama hasn't completed is to destroy ALL of America.
Joseph got it right: hanging by a thread, hanging by a thread......
Obama already voted himself out. He said he would be one termer if he couldn't cut spending. He raised it by 5TRILLION and counting.
Welcome to the unemployment line Mr. President.
We would be in one awful mess if "the job had been done".
I was in Wal Mart yesterday and the head line on the Army Times Newspaper talked about Obama cutting 8 Combat Brigades. Aparrent he does not want to pay for the Dwell Time or keep America at a high state of being ready. Also it will cause the over use of those left. Resulting in more stress for those that Do serve.
Job not done? Glad we paid for his vacations, or maybe he would have finished.
Let's vote him out before it's too late.
Those who don't do their job are usually fired. Surely this should include the US Congress as well. Fire them all and start over. (Or better yet, only allow them to repeal laws, not make any new ones for about, say, 3 years at least.)
First he says he should be a one-term president if he can't turn the economy around in one term. Now that his term is almost up and the economy hasn't turned around, of course he says that he deserves a second term.
I can't believe that people are still going to vote for him this time around!
Oh my gosh, NO!! I think he's done quite enough TO America, and not much FOR America. Any one of the remaining GOP candidates would be a better President than Obama has been. I personally think that he probably had good intentions, but is very lacking in the essential experience and knowledge needed to do a good job as President.
As for the reduction in military funding, that has to be weighed against the need for a ready force. My son is deployed right now, and of course it is a great concern to me for his safety and well-being. But he's part of an important effort to help the Afghan Army learn how to take care of their own security against insurgents. Any effort that we, along with our allies, can do to bring stability to an unstable part of the world will benefit Afghanistan, our country, and other countries in that region.
I'm almost 65, and would love to retire. But I will have to work until I no longer can. My husband will have to, also. We will have to rely on Social Security for our primary income when we do retire, and that is very scary. Everything costs too much!
Not one of these commenters can provided substantive evidence that Obama's policies have harmed this economy or that a Republican administration would have done any better. You're going off of a hunch and personal bias. How do you know that unemployment at this point would not be 10 or 11% if McCain had won? You don't. We just automatically believe the country runs better under our own political party.
And his statement that he will be a one-term president if he is not effective was not a notice that he will resign. It was a recognition that he would likely lose the next election. Time will tell if that is the case.
Comments Voted so far 9 to 1 to "NO". I am also saying "NO". Obama lost, one term is enough for him!

For one, Obama added 5 trillion dollars to the national debt in the short space of 3 years (a new record speed). It's true that we can't prove that McCain wouldn't have done the same thing, but we are 99% sure. After all, Bush was hated for adding debt, and McCain wouldn't want to do it. In addition, economists have said that Obama's stimulus didn't work (look at the CNN Money article titled "Economists: Stimulus Didn't Help" April 26, 2010). It's more than a hunch.
mr chicago needs to go. he didn't deserve one term let alone a second one. totally inept and over his head.
Emajor: Not only has Obama significantly added to our national debt, he has crammed down our throats a national health care plan that was opposed by a mojority of Americans and now he is working on undoing any kind of freedom of religion we have in this country. If that isn't enough to boot him out, I don't know what you're looking for.
What has Obama done to deserve a second term? Keystone?
Hey, Emajor -
How does $15.2 TRILLION in debt with ANOTHER $1TRILLION to be added shortly. Senate already approved it.
So what part of "increased our national debt by over $5 TRILLION" don't you understand?
Oh, I'm surrrrrre this is good for our economy.
I saw a poll the other day on TV in which each state was asked whether they liked or disliked the job Obama was doing as President.
It warmed my heart to see that the state with the highest "DISLIKE" of Obama was good ol' Utah!
Go Utah! Stick to your guns!
He has been destructive of my rights. I'm not voting for him.
Didn't abolish the patriot act like he said he would which was my main reason for supporting him until I was woken up 2 months after he became president and found out what a total fraud this government has become and how they have sold out to a corporate dictatorship.
He also said he was going to close down Guantanimo Bay but not only has he refused to do that but he signed the NDAA which not only allows torture to continue, but giving the government the "right" to label anybody who supports the constitution a terrorist even if they don't own a firearm and take them overseas and torture them and maybe even kill them.
