Newt will lose. Mitt will win. How's that for stylistic extremes?
As a small business owner I would appreciate a little more study & thorough
analysis coming out of the White House rather than political paybacks &
dogma. Working on the nations balance sheet by a successful business man could
do us all a lot of good.
I don't know what the big deal is about Romney's comment that he isn't concerned
about the poor because they have a safety net. Everyone knows that, especially
the poor who take advantage of every government program, whether it's food
stamps, welfare, pell grants, etc. The middle class works hard and gets paid
just enough that they don't qualify for any of those programs, but can never get
ahead, often living paycheck to paycheck and overwhelmed with debt. It wouldn't
take much to send them into the ranks of the poor and this economy has done that
to many.Romney is right to be more concerned with the plight of the
middle class. That is what most of us are. Concentrating on the issues that
will make things better for the middle class will, in reality, make things
better for the poor, as well.Romney is more in touch with all of us
than anyone will give him credit for. The hullaballoo about his latest gaffe is
much ado about nothing.
