I'm sorry.

But someone once told me long ago that life wasn't fair.

I suggest you recognize this and move on.

The value of your home may have originally been too high, driven by loans available to people who never should have gotten them. And the cost of servicing your home did not decrease with it's value. And, you probably didn't run for city council.

And watch your services decline, watch them cut funding for education, not to mention the subsidies for businesses that erode the tax base not add to them. We are victims of an eloborate conservative con that put Utahns in the top of the nation's taxed. Yes Marilyn, there was never a tax (or fee) they don't love.

Nobody FORCED you to buy a home and especially a home that has such a large payment that you haven't been able to save up a rainy day fund. Don't blame government for your inability to manage your money.

I blame - Bush Co. and the Republicans.
So should you.

an artificially inflated price on your home wasn't going to last. You should have sold.

You know you can appeal the valuation of your home and it is very simple to do. I have done it two years in a row and have won both times.
