He (Gingrich) argued that Romney "clearly is against the American
ideal" and doesn't understand the free market.Truly, if ANYONE
understands the free market system, and works hard for the American Ideal, it is
Mitt Romney. This statement by Gingrich is ridiculous. Something
else I've wanted to comment on for several weeks is Romney's comment to someone
that "corporations are people, my friend." He has been ridiculed and
castigated for saying that, with people claiming he is not in touch with the
common worker. I have to ask this then, what are corporations made of? Are they
buildings? Are they just Bylaws and Articles of Incorporation? No, of course
not! Corporations are made of people who work there, who lead it, who otherwise
make the corporation successful, which in turn provides more jobs, more
business...depends on what kind of corporation it is...and more economic growth.
So in this regard, corporations truly ARE people...the people who are employed
by it, who are part of it. I don't think you can separate a corporation from the
people it affects.
