I hate it when articles like this never get beyond generalities - it would be much better with a few examples - what insights did the people quoted gain? What things did they find interesting that they had never thought of before? How does it make a difference that Jesus was a Jew? etc.

There is a Jewish guy on an LDS site (not LDS.org) that has gone through 1 Nephi and wrote things out with a Jewish perceptive and it is TOTALLY AMAZING the things that I have learned from it. I wish that someone would write a book about this from an LDS and Jewish perceptive, I know that I would buy it and from the comments on the thread of web site he wrote on I feel that many of them would also.

RE; Jesus and his early followers were Jews. So the two faiths have much in common.

Messianic Jews of today believe, Yeshua Hebrew for Jesus is the Messiah, They believe both the Tenach(O.T.)and the Bârit Chadasha are fully inspired and Godâs word until the Messiah returns.

As a Biblical Christian, I am glad the Rabbi is reading the New Testsment (the B'rit Chadesha). He will read the truth about the Biblical Jesus and seeds will be planted from the sword of truth. All else is fiction and unsubstantiated musings.

I will send him a New Testament in Hebrew. He won't need any commentary. But I would like to read this new translation and see how accurate to the original it is. Thank you for the story.
