Troller, I don't know who it's going to be, and neither do you. But Miller talks
to people a few more circles in than I do, so his estimates are a little better
than mine or yours. Will be exciting to see who it is, though.
StGtoSLC, I'm thinking if it was going to be an NFL guy or anyone with a name,
they'd be announcing it before Wednesday to try and poach a recruit or two.
Rivals has the Utes as the 7th best recruiting class in the Pac 12, Scout as the
8th. On average rating, USC is #1 by far. They score low on total
points because of their scholarship restrictions. Once those restrictions are
lifted, they will have huge years when they have both quality and quantity. In
fact, they'll have a couple years when they get to add more players than normal
to make up for the restrictions.
Oh... I was going to hope they were going to sign on and help the basketball
I still think it is going to be Mike McCoy, knowing he will take over when Coach
Whit is done.
Naval Vet, ESPN's Ted Miller stated that his impression was it would be an NFL
Hey Dirk...you need to update your article. TE Jeremiah Valoaga is no longer
listed among Utah's recruits. He's now headed to UNLV. I can't
wait to hear who our new O.C. will be. I'm hoping that it isn't Roderick
though. While AJ is a better O.C. than Doman, that's not really saying much. I
don't believe either are ready for that position. Roderick [and Schram for that
matter] needed a little more time under Chow than 1-yr. Has anyone
heard who Whittingham has been interviewing for the position?
Wow! A lot of Polynesian type players, guess I'll have to call up Bill Marcroft
to find out how to pronounce their names. It's sure great to be
inside the Bus instead of on the sidewalk watching it go by. Got Utes!!
...Zach Lindsay, Davis HS, Kaysville 6-8, 285 OL. Lindsay switched his
commitment from BYU to Utah...He must not know that Bronco said BYU
would never lose a recruit to Utah.
Wow...what a year for the Utes...the Original BSC Busters is paying off big
I don't put a whole lot of stock in the rankings coming out of high school. It
is fun to follow while we are starved in the offseason, but I don't know how
much it means.I am glad to see some of the holes addressed like the
QB and OL. I would really like to see one of these QB's turn out to be great. I
am getting a little tired of mediocre QB play. I think both of these guys have
the potential to be better than Jordan. And let's hope they are much more
@ 112 PackI hear you man, and I actually think we are going to pick
up some great recruits in the next few days. Most likely not a 150 kid, but
definitely some great ones:1. From what I've read and heard, Brandon
Beaver and Alphonso Marsh are more or less a group package and both are saying
that Utah is very high on their list. Can't complain about getting two great
cornerbacks.2. Moana Ofahengue seems to be deciding between Utah and
Arizona. So that's at least three good kids that I know of, hopefully
we can land them and maybe one or two more top recruits.
Affiliation has privelages. Athletes wants to play for schools that give them a
chance to play for something. The expectations are high. Should cruise through
the first 3 games before the USC game. Excited for 2012.
However the chips fall on Wednesday, this looks like it will end up being the
highest ranked recruiting class that Utah has ever had.I hope we can
land a few a few more of those players that are still on the fence. It's a great time to be a Ute! Can't wait for next season to see how all
these new players will fit into Kyle's system.Hopefully the
announcement of the new OC will add to all the good news.Go Utes
Hiva Lutui!! The Big Boys score again!!
Hopefully the Utes will have a few prize recruits pick Utah on Wednesday and put
the finishing touches on a top 20 - 25 recruiting class. Nice work by the
coaching staff either way!GO UTES!>;------>
