Pugman | 6:18 p.m. Jan. 28, 2012 .....Just so they can remind you
that they're in a BCS conference. Well so is Vandy,Ole Miss, Colorado, and the
list goes on about wannabies. Oh, Oh, but wait...my favorite. 54-10, and your
team quit. Suppossedly the conference of champions.....but always gauging your
success with the team down south. High hopes and goals are always good
though.Just remember...steers, have high hopes and goals.--Another one of my fellow BYU fans that can't accept the facts. The PAC has won
more NCAA titles in all sports than any other conference. There is nothing
supposed about that. Meanwhile we get smoked by WCC teams in hoops. The last
thing you and others should be complaining about is the stability of the PAC.
@bballjunkie as said before stop using ratings that try to make your team look
better cause as of 2 other recruiting services byu is NOT ranked and utah is
ranked 26 but you delusional fans say "but but but... scout has em ranked
45th so it doesnt count wah wah wah..." hmm i also seem to remember when
your team finished in the top 25 and all the utes told you you werent top 25
and all you cougars went on an emotional rant saying how jealous ute fans
were... well funny when its the other way around with the recruiting rankings
and all of a sudden y fans are the ones doing the recruiting rankings according
to y fans lol
Naval Vet:Good to look after little brothers..However, your
utes are ranked 45 by scout.com, with 26 recruits, BYU is 55 with 16, make sure
you look at number of recruits each one school has or needed this year. That has
a lot to do with it. Which is not saying much for the utes recruiting class.I am sure Otis is a big boy, but it is nice that you try to bail him
Pugman:"Otis and the rest of the trolls may think they belong,
but reading the national pundits and the experts tells a different
story..."What a frantic and emotional thing to say. Who are
these pundits, and what "different story" did they tell? ESPN's Pac-12 beat writer, Ted Miller begs to differ with you. Google his
"Final Pac-12 power rankings" to see for yourself what THAT national
pundit had to say. Or Google his "Early 2012 Pac-12 power rankings"
where he tabs Utah as the early #3 team in the conference. This is the same
conference that finished ranked as the 3rd toughest in the FBS.In
the 2011 preseason, Phil Steele predicted the eventual Pac-12 6th place, 8-5,
2011 Sun Bowl champions wouldn't even make it to the postseason. Was THAT the
national pundit you were talking about? Because I'm under the impression he's
changed his tune to "exceeded expectations" there.Anyway,
please post who and what you were talking about. And let us know when you're
mid-majored team will finally be relevant.[*HINT: It won't be while
you're still playing in the WAC.*]
bballjunkie:"Sorry Otis, just looked at the so called power
house Ute class besides hansen (who will be at BYU after the mission) I would
say average to below. especially for such a great pac 12 confrence
[sic]."Rivals presently ranks Utah's class at #26. The cougars
don't make the Top-50. If we're "average to below", there must only
be 50 FBS programs in the country right now, which means the cougars have
already dropped down to the FCS.Rivals presently ranks Utah's class
as the Pac-12's #6 team. That's average, but only per Pac-12 standards, where
UCLA, Cal, Oregon, Stanford, and USC are all in the Top-20. In other words,
right now, Utah's recruiting class is ranked 7 spots below USC's. Washington
St. is the only Pac-12 team not on Rivals Top-50 list. Only the SEC is
out-recruiting the Pac-12.
sandrus:"Average rating for BYU recruits: 2.8 Stars...Average
rating for Utah recruits: 2.6 Stars...Who do you think had the better recruiting
class?"Per Rivals, that would be Utah. Utah is presently
ranked with the #26 class, with an average star rating of 3.09. The cougars
aren't listed among the Top-50, and have an average star rating of 2.88. Edge: Utah.
Sorry Otis, just looked at the so called power house Ute class besides hansen
(who will be at BYU after the mission) I would say average to below. especially
for such a great pac 12 confrence. Oh and noticed again that you were the first
one on another BYU article...Lets me guess you hate BYU...you just like to read
Otis,As we all know, the only elite BCS team in the same market as
BYU is the University of Southern California.
Average rating for BYU recruits: 2.8 Stars.Average rating for Utah
recruits: 2.6 Stars.Who do you think had the better recruiting
But the Utes are an elite program. What other conference can you go into the
final season with a 4-4 mark, not having played 2 of the top programs, and
having the other elite team in the conference on probation, and have a shot at
making the conference championship. All you had to do was beat a pathetic
Colorado team at home, we all know how that turned out. Otis and the rest of the
trolls may think they belong, but reading the national pundits and the experts
tells a different story, a story of high hopes, but will always be a mid to
lower level team in the conference of champions. Of course, if you've paid any
attention at all to the trolls on the BYU football articles this year, you will
understand that many Ute trolls will celebrate mediocrity. Just so they can
remind you that they're in a BCS conference. Well so is Vandy,Ole Miss,
Colorado, and the list goes on about wannabies. Oh, Oh, but wait...my favorite.
54-10, and your team quit. Suppossedly the conference of champions.....but
always gauging your success with the team down south. High hopes and goals are
always good though.Just remember...steers, have high hopes and goals.
For once Otis durrlock is rightY 10-3 rankedU 8-5 not even
close to being rankedThat gap is widening as we speak. hahaha
Did Otis just call Utah and "elite bcs team"
Good Job Boy's ! You have chosen wisely ! Your football carriers will be fun and
you will get a top rated education as well. Ignore the knuckle heads and keep
your eyes on the prize !!!
It's painfully obvious how out of touch with reality our little friend from the
hill is. This is a small, but great recruiting class for the Cougars.
What's with this jealous Utah troll spamming ever BYU article with his inane
rants? This is a small, but very talented recruiting class for BYU.
The new recruits, together with a talented group of returning missionaries, will
give BYU a great influx of talented players for the 2012 season.
It's painfully obvious at this point, that BYU will never be able to recruit as
well as an elite BCS team in the same market. You will see the divide
between the schools grow wider and wider in the next few years. Magic happens.
There's some great talent here. Add in a strong class of returning missionaries
and this is a top notch class.
Best of luck to all these young men.
BYU Fans,Let me be the first to offer my sincere condolences.
