How about a program to recognize and relieve the homeowners who didn't over extend themselves, lived with in a budget, bought a smaller home, where is their reward?

It seems Obama's system is to reward law breakers, tax evaders, illegal lenders, and greedy homeowners.

How about a program that focuses on the truly needy and not the lazy. We need to seperate the two.

And what ALLOWED such tactics...?

Deregulation.

A tactic often supported...

by the Republican, party.

Americans are not 'lazy'...

if someone sold you a house, they KNEW you could not afford.

So that more people who shouldn't have gotten a loan will default on this one also. More class warfare from Obama.

Pagan - it was your friends Dodd and Frank that are responsible for the mortgage crisis. But you are blinded by truth.

Studies have already shown that this will have little to no effect in helping underwater homeowners. Look at the last few programs he gave us. He promised millions would be help, instead it was thousands. This is just another tactic to try and destroy the financial institution of this nation so he can destroy it as he has planned from the begining. This will force smaller banks to close up shop and give more power to large banks. Something barack is in bed with already, along with buffett, GE, solyndra and others.

It's time to "drain the swamp" let's get rid of barack, nancy, reid and all other dependentcrats.

If barack is re-elected then there is no point in the constitution or having this nation anymore. It's time to do what our founding fathers would want us to do.

It's interesting that his speech last night, pretty much summed up the last 5 years of listening to this dribble. For an Ivy League educated person, he's not that smart. The problem is there is a large enough voting base that is stupid enough to believe every word that comes out of his mouth.

What happened to the idea that he would not rest until every American had a job? How many times has he rested? How many golf games? How many vacations? Shopping trips? Lavish dinners? Parties at the White House?

Then he has the nerve to attack those that actually have worked for their money and earned it, and demonize those people. Then played on the hope and change harpstrings that government knows best. Just vote for barack and all of your problems will disappear.

Well we have had 3 years of him as president. Are you better off than you were 3 years ago?

I'm sorry, Obama 'only' gave thousands in tax dollars to help people...

keep their HOMES??

'Only'.

Really!

Should we only care if it is YOUR home he is trying to save?

Or have you lost touch with your fellow American SO MUCH...

that you minimize them, being homeless.

Also, about Solyndra:

It is pathetic to try to blame Obama for a 'scandal' in Solyndra that GOP leaders have ties to as well, when...

We SPENT (past tense) $37 million of our tax dollars on wars...

we, to this DAY, have no justififation for...

reason to be in...

and lost, factually LOST...

$8 billion dollars, on.

All, before Obama even took office.

How about a program to recognize and relieve the homeowners who didn't over extend themselves, lived with in a budget . . .

-----------------------------

You forget that when the majority of the homeowners bought their homes, they weren't over-extending themselves and they were living within a budget. Then George Walker Bush's programs and plans killed the economy and all of a sudden the homeowners were without jobs and without a way to pay the bills they could easily have paid before. It is only just that they are being helped now.

This will be a great program with Fannie and Freddie participating in the government type program. Then when Newt Gingrich gets the nomination, he and the President can do their duelling over Fannie and Freddie. I wonder who will win, the President with control or Newt with his historical/lobbyist/
consultant background with Fannie and Freddie. Or will it be Mitt Romney with his investing in both Fannie and Freddie that will have to do battle with the President?

I believe the Utah home market has been over extended for quite a few years with people buying homes with the Fannie and Freddie type of approach, "You may not be able to afford it today, but we will lend you the money for 30 years and with several refinancing in the interim, you may be able to afford it in 20 years or 25 years of the 30 year loan? With the likely potential of recessions coming at least once or twice in that timespan, the individual will lose a job or have downsized to a lower pay scale. The car companies were hit with a similar problem with 72-month loans tied with home loans and disaster strikes.

I apologize.

That was $37 TRILLION of your US tax dollars we spent on Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan.

But YOU, shouldn't keep your house.

Pagan,

I just looked up the Huffington Post, and they say 3.7 trillion if the wars continue another fifty years. It's currently 1.3 trillion.

If millionaires can be taxed thirty percent, why not ten percent minimum for all citizens? It's just common sense.

The commander didn't say anything of Keystone, Sylyndra, or if he paid taxes on the money he took for vacations. One vacation is more than double what Romney earns in a year, and should be taxed. What's he hiding?

How much of our money has the commander given to other countries to assist their economies?

Through out history, people have blindly followed corrupt leaders with flattering speeches. That's why the majority of people have lived with starvation and poverty. Germany is one of many examples.

The level playing field and equal shots of opportunity come from limited freedoms.

Pagan!

"That was $37 TRILLION of your US tax dollars we spent on Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan."

This is really flip flopping. Does our country even have this much money?
