The girlfriend of the Bama long snapper said they would win the championship
shortly before she was killed by the Tuscaloosa tornado last spring....ESPN
reported in the pre-game.
Dear advertisers: I didn't watch your rematch.
Ok ok the SEC is the best conference. They're also the most boring conference.
Did I miss it?
I didn't watch the game, but seeing the results make me think that the final AP
top 3 will be:1. Alabama2. Oklahoma State3. LSUPossibly both Bama and OSU will receive votes for first. That's my guess.
The result wasn't a surprise to anyone who has followed the two teams over the
past several years..... For Tide fans perhaps as much danger as it presents we'd
be better off playing the next decade only in Louisiana cuz it is only in
Tuscaloosa or Birmingham that the tide seems to lose to the tiger kittens. Great
outcome, but not a very good game.... Is it great defense or miserably poor
offense? I'd like to see Alabama v Oklahoma State and LSU against Baylor.....
See how the SEC really piles up against the Big XII.
A playoff is needed, not this 1-game 2-team opinion poll matchup....
A Craig James/Adam James whine-off would have been more fun.
Was this a re-run?? This was a great game if you like boredom and field goals.
What a joke. It is obvious why the BCS doesn't want a playoff system - it would
expose these teams for what they are. Herbstreet and his sidekick did their best
to spin it into an "epic" defensive battle. For my money I would
rather have seen a Boise State v. Oklahoma State match up.
10-1 odds that Oklahoma State would have beaten Alabama. We will never know. The
BCS is a joke to have a team that didn't even win (or play) for their conference
championship win the national title.
Didn't watch it, didn't care. Come on D news, be brave take a stand, refuse to
call it a National championship. Just call it by the bowl game and lump it with
all the other gazillion bowl games that have depleted all the fun out of
competition. Call it whatever you want to. They do by calling it a National
championship. IF they make stuff up, so can you.
After that weak performance by LSU they should be ranked below OU State,
Stanford, Oregon, BSU, and other one loss programs.
I've always said the best thing about golf and baseball is you can watch the
first 15 minutes - take a nice nap - watch the last 10 minutes and not miss
anything. Now the same can be said for the BCS Championship. What a joke.
Jake 2010 said: Is it great defense or miserably poor offense? I'd like to see

for which we will never get an answer to. Would love to see either of these SEC
teams matched against Oregon or OKSt -- Teams with incredible offenses. But
that's not going to happen, is it? Because we'd hate to embarrass the SEC's
alleged supremacy. I really don't understand why there isn't more unhappiness
with the present system that locks out anyone but whoever the
"experts" deem worthy of the "championship" game.
We knew it was going to be a boring game. I saw (2 3/4 qtr) it on internet, not
impressed. Yeah, my prediction was way off and thought of scorless game till
10th OT. Who knows, another rematch 2013 with Bama & LSU III or SEC II. Come
on Obama, do something, I forgot here, politics should not be involved.
Wow, what a great BCS climax...it rivals when I cleaned my bathroom medicine
They allowed an outsider to play the SEC once in the Sugar Bowl and it didn't
work out too well for the SEC. Doubt that it will happen again. It's kind of
ironic that Utah's victory actually probably shut doors for others rather than
Phew, its a good thing that the "NC" lived up to all the hype.Couldn't agree more with all the comments. First time I am glad I don't
have ESPN and didn't waste my entire night watching this snoozefest.Yep OSU and all the rest didn't deserve to be on the field with these two
teams. Nope not at all. Love the Espn spin on the front page. "Without A Doubt Alabama destroyed LSU and any confusion about who's the
champion." Huh? They are 1-1 against each other, I would say there is
plenty of doubt who the real best team in football is. Maybe they should play a
best out of 3. What a joke.
Now Oklahoma State is national champions!!! outstanding.
This looked like Alabama was playing a Division II school. LSU's offense just
didn't show up. I thought Jefferson would break out crying any minute. If I
wanted a boring game like that, I'd watch soccer.Makes you really
wonder what a matchup with Alabama and Ok St or Stanford would have been like --
maybe Enjoyable? Maybe a contest?
SC would put up 40 on these guys. Their offense's are so boring, stagnant. Let's
all pray we go to the NC game next year against an SEC squad and drop 50 on
them. SC 5-0 vs. SEC Booooyaaa.
31-17 ha ha ha.
The sad part is this result completely legitimizes the team selection. LSU was
the consensus #1 so the only question was who should be #2 and Alabama
destroying LSU suggests they were the right pick.
Sounds like it was another snoozer of a boring game. I hope the ratings were
The reason why the two games have been mostly field goals: NFL type defenses.
LSU or USC ----it looks like---will be # 1 to start the season next year. So
next year's polls are already being set up.
Wait Wait Wait.... I thought byu with there powder puff cream girl schuedle was
the National Champions!
Johnson72: It would have made almost as much sense as arbitrarily declaring
Alabama as national champs.
Alabama/LSU has the best athletes in the nation no question however that doesn't
always translate to having the best team. LSU's playbook is about 2 pages long
most of which are running plays. At half time LSU had punted 5 times , hadn't
crossed the 50 yard line and had 2 first downs. I think they had 37 yards total
offense. This was supposed to be the #1 team in the nation?? Oklahoma St. or
Stanford would have given Alabama a much better and closer game. I actually
think Oklahoma St would have beaten Alabama. College Football will never have a
true champion without a full playoff.
Alabama has lost very few games in the last four years...Oh, yeah
... there was that 2009 Sugar Bowl loss to Utah that SHOULD HAVE BEEN A NATIONAL
CHAMPIONSHIP FOR UTAH!!!!Amen to everyone who thinks the BCS is a
No one has yet said the two most important words. They are, ROLL TIDE!
