After Texas school shooting, many questions loom

    "a father wondered why police had to shoot his son in the hall of the boy's middle school"

    When the suspect refused to put the pistol down the officers didn't have the luxury of waiting to see whether he would shoot one of them. One officer lost his life in Ogden yesterday. When you refuse to obey an officer's command to put your pistol down you've used up all your chances.
