I was shocked when Orem beat Lone Peak! I'm a believer. Congratulations to them and to their coach.
Timpanogus, Woods Cross, South Jordan? Why are these kids not playing for their respective schools?
Sounds like just another glorified AAU team, coming together, to claim the 'lesser' prize of a Utah High School championship (in their book). Why is the UHSAA allowing this to take place? Honestly!
It's tough on a school/community when a player with promise comes along, once in a blue moon, and decides to join up with all the states other all-stars to form a team that unbeatable.
Hats off to all those schools/coaches/administrators who do it the right way!
RE: Unbelievable
Have read two of your comments tonight (one on another article) and I have to say they are spot on! I totally agree. If you look there are several top notch players that have stayed and played at their home boundry schools and they should be commended. In addtion it should be noted that "staying home" does NOT effect their ability to go on and play at the next level.
@unbelievable...get educated on the process and then comment. BTW, they are playing for their "respective" schools...that's where they live.
Take a closer look at why they live there, then you will get your answers KSDBN.
Amen to Unbelievable's comments!
Play where you live, right? Learn the rules to transfers and eligibility...then spout off. Don't criticize a kid for moving and question there motives when you don't know their situation. Sour grapes!
I fully know the situation, and both of the posters are correct KSDBN.
