This is such a sweet story, especially her father in law's comment and the Harlem Globetrotter connection! How amazing, how blessed they were to have such wonderful help appear out of nowhere.

I used to enter this yearly contest, but never won. Now I just read the stories and enjoy them. This one is touching, well written and notalgic. I remember once needing car help in a rough part of Cincinnati. A black baker asked how he could help. I told him the car would start if pushed backwards. He signaled to some teenagers passing by and I had one of the fastest jump starts my 55 Chev ever received.

My thanks to all who have Christmas stories printed; all are wonderful.
