Next Doug Robinson will be complaining about kids messing around on his front lawn. Chill out, it's the NBA. They are a business. If the games weren't profitable the league wouldn't do it. Blame the fans for watching, the media for covering it, advertisers for paying for it if you have a problem.
If the games weren't profitable, or if they didn't have exposure from the media (like this article), the league wouldn't do it.

I am with you Mr. Robinson. I am a basketball nut, and I think it is disrespectful to the players and all employees, and our Lord who's birth we celebrate. I just found myself laughing out loud at Stan Van Gundy's sarcasm about increasing to 10 games. That was funny stuff. Anyway, I will not watch any basketball on Christmas. I will be enjoying family, and the holiday.

Even though I agree with Mr. Robinson, unfortunately it falls on deaf ears. When the almighty dollar is in play, no amount of logic or common sense can prevail.

My in-laws like to go see an afternoon movie on Christmas Day as a fun family Christmas tradition but I refuse to go because I feel bad for all the employees of the theaters that have to go into work that would probably much rather be home with their families.

I can't believe the lockout ended... I lost all respect for the NBA when they started recruiting middle school drop outs. I can't even understand their comments at the end of games anymore. What happened to the players that encouraged reading and education?

Not one role model in the NBA

The NBA needs to be shut down. I can't stand it.

Just tune it out fans. I guarantee if viewership goes down so will the number of games!

Watch 24 Hours of A Christmas Story on TBS instead. More fun watching Ralphie than Kobe. I'm just saying.

Ralphie shoots his eye out, Flick sticks his tongue to a pole. Ralphie gets soap in his mouth, Schwartz gets a beating for teaching him a bad word. Ralphie beats up the bully. Oh yeah, Good times. Then there is Clark Griswold and Cousin Eddie, or Kevin McCallister. Lot's of classics.

It is the fans fault that the games are played on Christmas. If no one watched or came to the arenas then they would cancel the games. Do your part this Christmas and don't go to the games or watch them. That will send the message to them that we don't want the games on Christmas anymore. You could even one step further and find out who will be advertising during the games and boycott them until they stop advertising during these games.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas this year!
