Now there are only the 2 basketball coaches to get rid of and things should really improve, they couldn't get much worse.

You always need to take your hat off when a 'non-teacher' comes out to take on the huge responsibility of coaching. Especially when it's a 100 member Football team.

The time involved, the late nights, the effort. It's good to see there are those kind of guys in our midst, also good to have a District see that others, outside of the school, have a better skill set for these jobs than guys in the classroom.

Now it's time to build a solid staff, with a great strength program, and Murray may be able to start to compete again.

good luck to Mike with the program, I agree with the comment above about taking on a responsibility as big as being a head high school coach. Very little appreciation for the grief you take on and good for Murray for seeing he was a great choice even though he wasn't part of the teacher union.

The Big One:
why do you want to get rid of Basketball Coaches?

Good luck to the new football coach, Richmond. Dan Aragon and his staff put in a zillion hours but in the end people naturally want wins. The ultimate question will be, "Was it the lack of talent or the coaching?".

To answer your question Winston, it's probably the talent. With Westlake, Herriman, Skyline and Olympus basically with great coaching and superior talent, those aren't really winnable games. This leaves Hillcrest. Nonleague wins could come vs. T-Ville and Cyprus but basically expect much the same next year as what has occurred in the Aragon Era.
