A false alarm by gun control advocates in states where government feels oppressed because they can't stop citizens from arming themselves.

The fact is, guns cannot be sold illegal by any gun shop or business on websites or interstate becasue of the federal laws in place. No guns can be sent by mail or any shipping carrier from person to person or state to state without an authorized FFL from the FBI. A person buying a gun on the internet can only be sent or mailed to an FFL licensed dealer where background checks are performed at time of pickup.

These claims are politically motivated by hate and socialism mongers. There is no need for states to involve themselves with trying to put controls on established federal laws. These states and mayors do not and cannot alter or enact laws or restrictions of inalienable rights of the constitution. Their fears are unfounded and personal persecutions to enact illegal gun control laws.

Since this is a Federal issue due to the 2nd Amendment, the mayors don't have a leg to stand on.

Mayor Michael Bloomberg is anti-Second Amendment and was not happy with the two recent US Supreme Court rulings that determined that the 2nd Amendment applies to individual citizens and not the state.

In New York City criminals with firearms vastly outnumber law abiding citizens with permits.

Mayor Bloomberg- don't tell us what to do when your "solutions" have been proven to be total failures every time they are tried!

Mayor Bloomberg needs to spend more time cleaning up his own corrupt cops who are smuggling guns and other contraband into his city than worrying about Utah. In October the NY Post reported the arrest of eight current and former New York City cops who were part of a $1 million ring that smuggled guns, cigarettes and slot machines into New York from out of state.

Meanwhile, Obama's Justice Department ordered licensed dealers to sell thousands of guns to Mexican drug cartels, despite dealer objections. And Obama's administration continues to lie to Congress about "Fast and Furious."

Compared to gun ban paradises like Bloomberg's New York, or Washington, DC, areas like Utah with far less restrictive gun laws have far less crime.
