I'm a Republican and conservative, but they always talk about how the top earners are the job creators so we can't dare tax them but I don't think the really rich would even notice a small tax increase in their wallets. It would be about as much of an annoyance as swatting a fly for them. Plus, they could help create jobs by paying the tax and letting the federal employees keep their jobs, people who do feel the pain in their pocketbooks every time there is a pay freeze, promotion freeze or layoffs.
