Kills me to think where they could have gone if they didn't blow that game to Colorado. At least we have basketball to look forw......errr.....oh man.

I like the Utes!

Can't wait! 3 Weeks can't come soon enough!!

What's the latest on Brennar and Kruger? Will they be 100% for the bowl game?

Christmas in El Paso! No better place. Trying to remember what got in the way of a sure trip to Pasadena. 17-14.

I have to laugh at they hypocrisy of all the cougar fans who think they're putting Utah down by mocking our season-ending loss to Colorado, and our subsequent postseason destination. Those frantic and emotional cougies are obviously still smarting about getting blown out, at Home, by 44-pts to the Utes. Getting blown out by 44-pts is WAY worse than losing the game over a missed FG as time expired. Furthermore, anybody headed to the Armed Forces Bowl cannot laugh at anybody else playing in a bowl game with a payout of over $600K. The AF Bowl is the 4 lowest paying bowl game in the NCAA FBS league. The Sun Bowl pays out over 3 times the Armed Forces Bowl, and we don't get stuck playing any mid-major opponent.

Edge: Utah; everyway you could possibly look at it.

What are "mental reps"? I am going to try asking my boss if I can "mentally" go to work next week.

Buzz in Tempe that Whittingham is a mention for the Sun Devil job...any thoughts? rumors? We'd love to get that guy.

Still laughing at the ute fans that think the sun bowl is a big time bowl. Utah had its chance. In fact it had its best chance it will probably see in the next 10 years to make it to a big time bowl game.

I would even go so far as to say that Utah had a better chance of going to a BCS bowl as a member of the MWC than they will as a member of the pac12.

Naval Vet,

Not one person here from BYU has bashed on the Utes and you come on here as a Ute fan and try to start the argument. Get over your obsession with BYU and cheer for the Utes. You do no credit to yourself or Ute fans.

Good luck to the Utes in the Sun Bowl!
Go Utes!

"Mental reps" are a technique applied by assistant coach Harold Hill, formerly known as "the think system." It comes with a band instrument of the players choice.

And Lifelong Republican has to comment and prove me wrong...

MN Ute

@ ExecutorIoh

What White means by that is that he's going to the weight room with his teammates and getting in to the right frame of mind for the bowl game. Seriously, why mock somebody who's done so much for the Utes all season and is still working hard when he can't physically do some of the work. Do you know how mentally and emotionally tough it is to be there with your teammates and not be able to do anything?
Show some respect for the athletes, doesn't matter whether you're a coug or not, live by your supposed honor code and don't mock someone for something they can't control.

Not JUST "Lifelong Republican". Don't forget about "So. Cal Reader" too. His was the 5th post of the day. Plus, cougar fans have been doing within minutes of Utah accepting the Sun Bowl, so don't act all surprised that they'd be here doing that.

I watched Georgia play Georgia Tech this year and Georgia pounded them. Utah should have an easy go of it with Georgia Tech.

Portland Beavers

Somebody that has a question like that certainly has never been on an athletic team. Why make a comment.

Make sure you read Joe Schmoe or So Cal Reader before you get all over Naval Vet.

Trying to remember what got in the way of a trip to New Orleans. 17-16 loss in week two sent you to Dallas, ending your season!

Oklahoma Cougar
Mustang, OK

There is not a better coach in America for preparing his troops for bowl games than Coach Whittingham.

This life-long Coug (and the overwhelming majority of the rest of Cougar nation) will be rooting for you in El Paso and in every future game in years to come (with a one-day exception every year).

Why would you assume I am a BYU fan? I mentioned nothing about BYU...

So. Cal Reader apparently the smog in SoCal is effecting the old grey matter upstairs. You are correct though,"Christmas in El Paso! No better place." We will enjoy the beautiful Bowl color of GREEN, yes green, $2M green! And another worthy BCS Bowl opponent. While your Cougies are in the little Copter Bowl playing for a measly $600K.

The Utes had a great season, that afforded excitement all season long while the Cougies missed out on the excitement because of your week three loss. 54-10 We took you out of it! Season over! End of discussion!

Hang in there Band of Lil Brothers!
