It is extremely significant that these young players missed summer league, missed a regular duration fall camp, will have less pre season games, and will have little to no practice time during the compressed regular season schedule.

Of course all teams/young players are in the same boat but these young guys will be a mess trying to learn/adjust to the NBA game with exactly zero experience that they would have gotten during summer league. It is a huge disadvantage to their development.

I sure hope they are in shape. It will help them to at least not have to worry so much about that in addition to how far behind they will be playing against NBA talent vs college players.

If you have not watched the youtube highlight reel of Alec Burkes it is worth a look. The kid can handle the ball.....he will be a threat to put the ball on the floor, slash to the hoop creating his own shot, and drawing fouls. What a novel concept huh CJ freaking Miles!

I don't know about being in shape, time will tell; but thin maybe even emaciated because they couldn't afford groceries during the lockout is a distinct possibility. Latrel Sprewell once stated"I can't even afford Mcdonald's on my 10million dollar contract with the Timberwolves".I'm just joking, I'm excited for this season and too watch the Jazz grow.
