Exactly what's needed for Div I-A (FBS), but will never happen until the bowls realize they can make more money with a playoff.
Why not have the Rose, Fiesta, Sugar, and Orange host several games each as part of a bowl playoff. There could be 4 rose bowls, 4 weeks in a row if they were part of a 16-team playoff, and host games weeks 1, 2, the semifinal, and final.
Something has to change to decide the champion on the field and not in the minds of opinion pollsters.
